"A large outdoor food market that offers a lively sampling of Bahamian street and fish dishes; it’s a place to wander and try multiple vendors, local beers, and frozen daiquiris while relaxing in warm weather." - Zach Schiffman, Sarah Kilcoyne
Great place to visit if you have a car rental and a kitchen at your accommodation to cook your own meals. We drove over and bought a few Bahamian lobsters and fresh conchs for dinner. Be prepared to negotiate price… depending on when you go during the day, there will be a few vendors selling at the stands or out of their trucks (no specific market hours)
Located at the parking lot next to the Google map pin (enter the lot just a few meters northwest of this location). Has a strong smell at the market but definitely worth the visit for fresh seafood!

They gave me tourist prices and vendors were at all times trying to justify why no better prices could be found elsewhere on the island. I will stick to the supermarket after this, nor worth the drive.

Best place to get fresh fish, lobster and conch salad.

It’s an experience, there are many local fisherman that will want to sell, but you can find amazing conch salad, and conch fritters. It’s the only place so far where I buy my conch and lobster when I’m provisioning. Sometimes the fish, be sure to smell it for freshness before they give it to you. A fish seller once tried to sell me a slipper lobster and those are actually rare in in this part of the world and should’ve not been caught.

Very unexpected turn out. The market itself is unsanitary, people are nice though. I wouldn’t suggest tourist to visit this spot.

Freshly caught items from the sea. Conch, snapper, and grouper at 6 to 8 individual stands. Located between two boat piers. Good place to pick up seafood, but it's best to know what you're doing!

Usually smells and is crowded. The fish tends to be fresh at least

Really fresh conch, you see them pull the live conch out it's shell, cut it up right in front of you, mix it with the onions, pepper, cucumber, pickles, banana pepper, green pepper, lemon juice, orange juice, serve it. Can't get any freshers than that
