Nassau Public Library

We would rate the building an easy five. The architecture is really eye catching and the state of preservation is good. The grounds are also very interesting with a beautiful oak tree. The rude lady who guards the entrance gets a one. Even though we arrived during hours she says “no visit!” Her loss.

Rustic & charming, an escape from the downtown area while in the heart of downtown. Locals & tourists can enjoy this quaint space.

A fun stop on our day adventure while visiting on a cruise. Explore inside to see a little taste of the local.

Looks like a cool spot but unfortunately closed to the public for some construction. Check out the other library near a school in town if you want a local public library.

This library is always a must see for us due to its uniqueness and history when we visit Nassau. Multi-level so be prepared to climb if you plan to tour the inside. If your children like books, they will enjoy visiting.

An absolute delight. Unique and beautiful building with fascinating history. Low on the tourist scale, and full of locals coming to check out books. Our favorite stop in Nassau.

Extremely cute old style library. Nice to search for books/authors in the card index (or by asking the librarians) instead of some modern machine. It was very interesting to learn the history of the place, which is briefly described at the entrance. No photos inside!

Historic building, the area surrounding it is nice to take pictures outside. Needs painting and updating. Serves the purpose it was put there for.
