This Remote National Park in Alaska Has a Grizzly Bear Camp — Here's What It's Like to Spend the Night

"Natural Habitat Adventures specializes in eco-friendly, small-group nature and wildlife tours all over the world. Partnering with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), its focus is providing immersive experiences in natural habitats, often in remote environments with conservation and sustainability as their priority. The bear camp sits on the park's shoreline within an electric fence, and guests always stay with a guide outside of the campsite. The sleeping and dining cabins at Natural Habitat Adventures in Lake Clark National Park offer rugged luxury: a twin-size bed with an emergency toilet and a space heater for cold nights. Meals are prepared by chef Chris Nau, including dishes like veggie scramble and pancakes for breakfast, bean chili and sandwiches for lunch, and pork chops for dinner. Amazing experience!! Individual tents with a heater, very comfortable bed, mosquito net if needed, lamps. The location, the staff and food are incredible. Private viewing platforms, very knowledgeable and professional guides. Don't miss the homestead tour, fascinating stories of the people that made this place happen. Overall an awesome experience watching the bears of Lake Clark National Park in Alaska in comfort and not being rushed.

Family and I were there about 2 weeks ago. One of the most amazing places I've ever been. Staff was amazing, bears as promised. Can't thank you all enough for lifelong memories and an amazing trip. The view I got to wake to to each morning, this one was taken without the bears.
