Very good espresso (not an easy thing to find a good one generally) and very tasty nata. Friendly service and not expensive at all.

The bakery has a lovely, relaxed atmosphere — perfect for a quiet break or catch-up. The space is cosy with a nice chill vibe, and it’s clear that care has been taken in creating an inviting setting. Unfortunately, the service didn’t match the ambience. Staff were quite cold and inhospitable, which left a bit of a sour note. I ordered the regular pastel de nata and the lemon version. The original was a bit too sweet for my taste, and the lemon one didn’t taste particularly fresh — it felt more like lemon curd added on top of the regular tart rather than a thoughtfully made variation. Overall, a mixed experience. Great setting, average pastries, and unwelcoming service.

Obsessed with this place. Great food and service, amazing coffee and selection of treats. Best nata I have ever tasted In my life. My go to when in Cardiff. Oh also - they have a cool digital loyalty card you can have on your phone’s wallet so you never forget it:)

My wife and I came across them today. We loved all the cakes. The pastel which came with our coffee, the coffee biscuit cake, the shortbread biscuit along with the Brazilian Guava drink. The shortbread tasted lovely and tasted like it was handmade and was not produced in a factory. The pastel cake was cooked perfectly and tasted really good. The coffee biscuit cake my wife had more of it, but she loved the cake and it was soft. You can tell the coffee was made with love with the pictures below. It's reasonably priced and very close to castle. Worth a visit if in the centre of Cardiff

This store was recommended to me by a friend. It's really delicious, and the girls in the store are very enthusiastic!I will definitely visit this store again!

I’ve been here several times! Last time was for Big Queer Picnic, I grabbed a ton of natas for some friends and also tried their new raspberry and blueberry flavours. Everyone in there is so, so lovely, and the food is incredible. Genuinely cannot fault it. If I could rate higher than 5/5 I would.

What a brilliant little place, clearly trying its best to replicate Portuguese cuisine. Loved the coxinha do frango, bacalhau com natas of course, and pastéis de nata. Service was excellent, and food served at the right temperature. Would recommend trying the different types of pastéis de nata available!

Yelp
This is the third branch of this family-run Portuguese bakery in Cardiff, located almost directly opposite the main entrance to Cardiff Castle. Opened in 2016 it's now well established. It functions more as an eatery than a bakery therefore, though there are plenty of pastries to buy if you want, including the famous Portuguese baked custard tarts. It's now a popular venue for coffee, lunch and afternoon tea. They serve a variety of savoury and sweet pastries as well as sandwiches and toasties. Although there are plenty of items containing Portuguese ham and sausages, there are also some vegetarian items, such as a spinach and onion omelette ciabatta sandwich, and a Portuguese style vegetarian pastry. More familiar will be the wide range of sweet pastries, tarts and cakes which seem to the main draw for most of the clientele. I had the veggie omelette and custard cake. They also do a special of soup, toastie and cake for £7. All very nice and the coffee's good too.
