What a brilliant little place, clearly trying its best to replicate Portuguese cuisine. Loved the coxinha do frango, bacalhau com natas of course, and pastéis de nata. Service was excellent, and food served at the right temperature. Would recommend trying the different types of pastéis de nata available!

Apple nata tastes really nice! I’m a traditional person, but this one is perfectly tart and not too sweet. The tea biscuit cake can be a little more moist and coffee flavored but still nice.

As a proud Welshman visiting Cardiff for the first time in over a decade walking past the castle was a great feeling, what was a greater feeling was discovering this hidden gem. Having lived in Portugal and tried a lot of Portuguese cafes I can honestly say this is the best. The best food, the best atmosphere. Wether Portuguese, a friend of Portuguese or just a coffee shop lover this is a must visit. What I love about Portugal is the people, what I love about wales is the people. This is the perfect blend of wales Portugal. Thanks for a great experience

My wife and I came across them today. We loved all the cakes. The pastel which came with our coffee, the coffee biscuit cake, the shortbread biscuit along with the Brazilian Guava drink. The shortbread tasted lovely and tasted like it was handmade and was not produced in a factory. The pastel cake was cooked perfectly and tasted really good. The coffee biscuit cake my wife had more of it, but she loved the cake and it was soft. You can tell the coffee was made with love with the pictures below. It's reasonably priced and very close to castle. Worth a visit if in the centre of Cardiff

We've just been in Nata & Co ( Cardiff ) for lunch and we were impressed with the food which it was authentic Portuguese home cooking.. We were also impressed with the "Romanian lady" as she likes to be called for her excellent service, her warmth and attentiveness which it makes a difference. We highly recommend Nata & Co ( Cardiff ). 💞☺️

I enjoy spending my time here during the mornings as it's not too busy and like to study/ have my alone time. It's a great place, and they offer breakfast and dessert, and there are pastry sections. I've been a few times it's kind of my go-to spot. Their egg tarts have custard, which I don't like, but they have a variety of options. I really enjoyed their rich tea cake. However, it was very sweet. Last I bought a lemon cheese cake with an iced latte it was very milky (those who like that flavour will enjoy it) which I didn't exactly love but it's always great to try new things.

Yelp
This is the third branch of this family-run Portuguese bakery in Cardiff, located almost directly opposite the main entrance to Cardiff Castle. Opened in 2016 it's now well established. It functions more as an eatery than a bakery therefore, though there are plenty of pastries to buy if you want, including the famous Portuguese baked custard tarts. It's now a popular venue for coffee, lunch and afternoon tea. They serve a variety of savoury and sweet pastries as well as sandwiches and toasties. Although there are plenty of items containing Portuguese ham and sausages, there are also some vegetarian items, such as a spinach and onion omelette ciabatta sandwich, and a Portuguese style vegetarian pastry. More familiar will be the wide range of sweet pastries, tarts and cakes which seem to the main draw for most of the clientele. I had the veggie omelette and custard cake. They also do a special of soup, toastie and cake for £7. All very nice and the coffee's good too.
