We are from Michigan and found Natchez while doing an internet search of things to do in Mississippi. I was a little worried on how much the family would like it as we didn’t know what to expect but they absolutely loved the tours.
In general the town is definitely on the older side but the home tours were amazing.
We had the opportunity to tour Longwood and Stanton Hall. Longwood was an extremely impressive house and the stories of the family were very interesting. We also really enjoyed the tour guide, Micah, at Stanton Hall. He gave an amazing tour with so much information on the history of the family along with knowledge on the interior design, furniture, etc…
We stayed a few miles outside of town at Brandon Hall which was probably the highlight. This is also a pre Civil War era home and the quiet location was amazingly peaceful. We were able to walk the grounds and chat with the super friendly owner. The flowers were also blooming and made for awesome pictures around the property.
