The Best Hotels in Hong Kong

"For street cred This four-star hotel with rooms for less than $108 a night is far cooler than any of Hong Kong's snobbish private members clubs. The sister hotel to The Eaton in Washington D.C.—a self-proclaimed anti-Trump hotel—is located around the corner from Temple Street Night Market in Yau Ma Tei (on Kowloon side), an old-school neighborhood that still looks like the backdrop to an old Hong Kong action flick. Rooms are squeeze-y, ranging from 183-square feet to 603-square feet, but they've been smartly kitted out with 1970s-inspired cork walls, orange flip clocks, and pummeling showers. There's an extremely good Cantonese restaurant, Yat Tung Heen, a fantastic Hong Kong-style food court, and a terrace bar, Terrible Baby, which serves sustainably made cocktails to unpretentious locals who wash up with their doggies in tow. But the real heart of the hotel is Eaton Workshop, a mazes of multi-media co-working rooms which also showcases art exhibitions, film screenings, and live performances. Valuable office space is also donated to local NGOs. Book now at Expedia Book now at Booking.com This article was originally published on Condé Nast Traveller UK." - Lee Cobaj

The staff at Nathan Hotel are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and spacious too compared to other hotels. The location is perfect because it is near MTR station, Temple Street night market and a lot of eateries beside the hotel. Value for money and will definitely return to this hotel if we visit Hong Kong again.

A nice up market hotel located in Jordan (opposite the Wing On department store). There are plenty of roast meats restaurants, cha chaan tengs and hawker food close by as well as the Temple St markets. Staff are friendly and will accomodate with all your needs. We had breakfast as part of our package, it was pretty average, mainly western, but the custom egg station was a bonus. The dining room is smallish so get there around 7:45 to get a decent table. IMHO, walk around and go to a local HK breakfast cafe to have congee. We also got 2 free complimentary drinks at the bar or wine cellar. The rooms are quite large and clean with all the ammenities. You also get 2 free cans of water per day which is a bonus. The bar fridge is empty and doesn't have a meter or anything, so you can add your personal drinks to the fridge.

This is a great hotel for families. They have a family room, which is great for families who want to sleep in a separate bed. Booked a family room for my trip to Hong Kong and after I checked in, they upgraded us to a larger family room on a lower floor due to our room being not ready and configured the extra bed as purchased, which was nice as the room was bigger. The room included water slippers in a lot of amenities, such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, and a travel charger connector, etc. It seems like the rooms on the upper floor are nicer and aren’t as musty the room that they gave us was kind of musty, but after opening the AC for a while it cleared up the service was good. The staff was nice and helped out with any request that we had. The included breakfast was fine though we try to eat not too much as we wanted to go out to eat the various foods in Hong Kong. The location of the hotel is great because it’s close to the Jordan MTR station. In addition there are a lot of bus stops around the area, which we can get you around Hong Kong quite easily. For the area of this hotel, I would recommend using the buses to get through rather than MTR because you don’t have to traverse MTR as the buses take you to the same location, but on the surface. I highly recommend this hotel for families and the ease of getting around overall it was a pretty good hotel to stay at for staying in Hong Kong for my family however, I do wish that they upgraded their rooms a little bit. I do wish that the walls prevent the sound a little bit more.

Stayed with my partner in Late Nov 2025 for one night. Got upgraded to a suite which was really stylish and well equipped. Both TVs in the room had Netflix, Disney+ and other apps. Room was quiet but it wasn't on the Nathan Road elevation so can't comment on noise. Breakfast had a wide selection reasonable. The bar was really good. The Bali bar has a great happy hour deal.

We stayed for 2 nights. We booked a room with an extra rollaway bed because we had 3 adults travellers. The room was quite large, the rollaway bed was all set up upon checkin they even provided an extra amenity kit for the 3rd person (slippers, toothbrush and a tea bag). The staff was nice, room was clean and great water pressure in the shower. They provided shampoo and conditioner, plus body wash. Room also had a small fridge, water kettle and 3 free cans of water. The hotel had an attached Starbucks which was perfect because we need our coffee in the morning. Very convenient. The MTR station was about 2.5 blocks away just up Nathan Rd, plus Temple Street night market was about a short walk. On departure the staff helped arrange a taxi for us and loaded (our VERY HEAVY) luggage.

Lovely Hotel. Staff very accommodating. Short walk to Temple Street markets. Room well equipped with what you need for an overnight stay- tooth brushes, comb, shower cap, slippers, hand lotions, shampoo conditioners, small sewing kit and more. And a very tasty breakfast which was included in the price of our room. And organised our taxis. Definitely recommend 😊

I booked for a night stay in Nathan Hotel and the experience was great!|I booked it bec of the location. It is near lots of great food, local night markets and was 5 mins taxi ride from Kowloon West Train station.|I was given a room upon check in around 2pm. The room was big for 2 of us. The check in process was smooth and efficient.|What I was really impressed was the honesty from the room service attendant. Upon check out, I left my mini iPad on the bed. When I returned to the hotel to collect my luggages( yes, I was able to leave luggages at the concierge as my return flight was late in the evening), the receptionist immediately recognised that I left my iPad. After some authentication, I got my iPad returned. Honestly I totally forget about it!|I would definitely recommend tourists to stay in this hotel.

Great location close to Jordan MTR station. Many buses along Nathan Rd. Room was well presented & very clean . Arrived mid morning after an overnight International flight. No “ good morning “ or pleasantries, just “ room isn’t ready “ & no timeline given for when it would be? Guy at reception was so rude with no customer service skills. Breakfast was very basic with limited choice & no variety. Coffee machine not working properly the 5 days during our stay. Lady in charge at breakfast had no English & shouted at me as I refused to sit outside & sat inside. Hotel catering to the local market. 1 Concierge had excellent English, was helpful re attractions & transport. I paid corporate rates but was disappointed. Ate breakfast, lunch & dinners next door at the Eaton hotel which had excellent food & service.
