The Best Hotels in Hong Kong

"For street cred This four-star hotel with rooms for less than $108 a night is far cooler than any of Hong Kong's snobbish private members clubs. The sister hotel to The Eaton in Washington D.C.—a self-proclaimed anti-Trump hotel—is located around the corner from Temple Street Night Market in Yau Ma Tei (on Kowloon side), an old-school neighborhood that still looks like the backdrop to an old Hong Kong action flick. Rooms are squeeze-y, ranging from 183-square feet to 603-square feet, but they've been smartly kitted out with 1970s-inspired cork walls, orange flip clocks, and pummeling showers. There's an extremely good Cantonese restaurant, Yat Tung Heen, a fantastic Hong Kong-style food court, and a terrace bar, Terrible Baby, which serves sustainably made cocktails to unpretentious locals who wash up with their doggies in tow. But the real heart of the hotel is Eaton Workshop, a mazes of multi-media co-working rooms which also showcases art exhibitions, film screenings, and live performances. Valuable office space is also donated to local NGOs. Book now at Expedia Book now at Booking.com This article was originally published on Condé Nast Traveller UK." - Lee Cobaj

I booked for a night stay in Nathan Hotel and the experience was great!|I booked it bec of the location. It is near lots of great food, local night markets and was 5 mins taxi ride from Kowloon West Train station.|I was given a room upon check in around 2pm. The room was big for 2 of us. The check in process was smooth and efficient.|What I was really impressed was the honesty from the room service attendant. Upon check out, I left my mini iPad on the bed. When I returned to the hotel to collect my luggages( yes, I was able to leave luggages at the concierge as my return flight was late in the evening), the receptionist immediately recognised that I left my iPad. After some authentication, I got my iPad returned. Honestly I totally forget about it!|I would definitely recommend tourists to stay in this hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay! The hotel has a perfect location, just a few minutes’ walk from the metro and the A21 airport bus stop (about 50 minutes to the airport). There are lots of great places to eat nearby too. Our family of five stayed in a spacious room, and it was very convenient that the shower, toilet, and sink were all separate. The room was cleaned daily, with fresh towels, bed sheets, and bottled water provided. The room even had 2 adapters for Hong Kong. The staff were super helpful, they brought us an extra blanket right away and even helped us pay for a taxi when our cards didn’t work (we reimbursed them later). I’m giving 4 stars because the windows can’t be opened, and with several people in one room, the air can get stuffy due to limited ventilation.

Great location close to Jordan MTR station. Many buses along Nathan Rd. Room was well presented & very clean . Arrived mid morning after an overnight International flight. No “ good morning “ or pleasantries, just “ room isn’t ready “ & no timeline given for when it would be? Guy at reception was so rude with no customer service skills. Breakfast was very basic with limited choice & no variety. Coffee machine not working properly the 5 days during our stay. Lady in charge at breakfast had no English & shouted at me as I refused to sit outside & sat inside. Hotel catering to the local market. 1 Concierge had excellent English, was helpful re attractions & transport. I paid corporate rates but was disappointed. Ate breakfast, lunch & dinners next door at the Eaton hotel which had excellent food & service.

Stayed for 8 days spread out over three separate bookings just in case I wanted to go neighbouring areas. Good value for money. The 'smart' one I picked was reasonably sized and clean. Large bench and table to use if working remotely. Service and amenities were good. Cleaning staff every day made an effort to clean the room. Front desk was very helpful when I had to make changes to my booking and that was appreciated. The one minor issue I had with my stay is that there seemed to be a constant mildew smell throughout the building and in particular the common hallway space so much that there were multiple air purifiers used throughout the building. All in all, good value for money. Location was good and not too noisy from street traffic.

The location is good, close to MTR and a lot of restaurants. The room is spacious. The bathroom is also spacious with walk in shower and bath tub. One drawback that it lacks of towel rack. The staffs are nice. Especially Mr. Chan is friendly and helpful. The good points are: two adapters for charging, complementary 2 cans of drinking water everyday.

After having our once-in-a-lifetime trip to Hong Kong Disneyland & Resort, we concluded our trip by staying at the Nathan Hotel. It is absolutely amazing to see the innovation and the hospitality they bring to their hotel. They have a Starbucks on the ground floor, which is very convenient for me as I am a Starbucks lover! The room is great and the views are breathtaking, seeing Central Hong Kong. They provide a desk and chair, and in our case, two beds, a smart TV, a very futuristic bathroom, a wardrobe, and a coffee station. Plenty of amenities can be used during your stay. The bed is very comfy, so if you want a good sleep, it's a very comfortable bed, my assurance. The short stay that we had here before going back to the Philippines was very rewarding and amazing. Definitely will come back if I come back to Hong Kong. Amazing hospitality and service, Nathan Hotel, you guys are stars!

We chose the Nathan as it looked to be in a good location and was a good price. Well, it turned out to be a perfect location. Bus stop outside for Airport Bus. Near to Metro Stations. Great room, clean, well fitted out. Good buffet breakfast. |Pretty much a perfect place for our first time in Hong Kong!

Our room was a suite room with a bathtub. The bathtub had a shower head and the switch required extreme force to switch from the bathtub tap to the shower head. We informed the hotel reception about the issue, the guy came up and showed us how to switch it and just left without much help and confirming with us that all was good. We couldnt use the bath tub at all as the switch wasnt working well. Hot and cold water indicators werent on the taps and everytime its a guessing game and waiting for the water temp to change. The bedroom had an aircon temp controller but despite us adjusting the temp and fan, it was still cold. The room was great otherwise. The breakfast was just so pathetic and miserable. We stayed for 5 nights, tried the breakfast for 1 of the mornings and never went back. Staff were lacking as well and the empty tables were all stained and dirty.
