Such a nice and diverse free activity to do, leading straight to the sea! The route Parnassia sand was the one we took, you can ask more info about it at the reception entrance. Recommended for families kids etc. well kept and maintained park!

This is one of my most favorite national parks in the Netherlands. They have not only sand duin, lakes, but also beach and forest. Arriving here you will immediately recognize the fresh clean ocean breeze and the variety of plants and landscaping in one area. There are a lot of playgrounds for children at different ages. You can also swim at the lake or simply play at the beach. There are different routes for bicycles and hikers. The roads for bicycles are very nice. The hiking routes are also fabulous to enjoy the bird sound and different nature sceneries. The sign system is kept very well so that you cannot get lost in the nature. The visitor center is connecting with the restaurant and cafeteria. There you can use clean toilets, also for small babies. The Terrace is facing a big playground for small children giving the parents peace in mind where they can seat enjoying a cup of tea while watching the children playing. If you want to cycle, you can rent a bicycle here as well. The combination of everything makes us to decide coming back here for another visit. Strongly recommended!

An absolutely beautiful area! We explored by bike, and enjoyed seeing the cows and horses on the way to Vogelmeer. The route was well signposted, and a leisurely ride. It's a very safe place to cycle, for adults and children. We hired bikes, and they were brilliant. The food and drink at the cafe were lovely - we sat outside and enjoyed the sunshine - there were heated seat covers and blankets available. Thank you so much to the helpful staff in the visitor centre for helping with our bike hire - we are very grateful!

It’s a lovely park! It’s nice for cycling, walking, and hanging out with family or friends. There’s a beautiful lake where you can sunbath and swim on sunny days. I’d recommend to go cycling as it’s a large park with many trails. It’s possible to see bisons in one of the trails from September to February. It’s worth a visit!

Such a nice and convenient spot! The lake is just a short walk from the car park, making it super easy to access. There’s a really nice café on site and a great playground for the kids—perfect for a relaxed day out.

This is an easy bike ride from Haarlem. The park is fantastic. It was a cool but sunny day so we rode for several hours. The park is well used as lots of people on race bikes and lots of runners. The place is like no other place in the Netherlands. The dunes are much larger than I expected some are still actively moving and covering up some of the path. We got stuck and had to walk a couple hundred meters to get back to pavement. There are so many paths and the scenery is amazing! Definitely a must see in Holland.

A wonderful park near Haarlem, you can walk right to the sea. The park is huge, there are many animals here, I have only seen bison, but there is a chance to meet deer, the description says that there are about 4,000 of them. In front of the entrance to the park there is a huge parking lot, a tourist center with a free museum and toilets, a playground and a nice cafe. There are bike paths in the park, you can spend the whole day here, I will definitely come again.

We stayed in Haarlem City and found this National Park nearby. Cycled from Haarlrm City to the National Park. Very peaceful and love it. There are wild animals inside.
