Expected More from Such a Rich History Given the depth and variety of the region’s history, I expected a much larger and more engaging museum. Instead, it’s quite small, with most of the exhibits focused on items from different necropolises and coin collections. Explanations are mainly in Italian, and overall, the museum lacks storytelling — the kind that brings history to life. Maybe that’s why we were the only two visitors there. A missed opportunity to make an incredible past feel vivid and accessible.

The museum is interesting, but overall the experience felt average. It seems poorly maintained, and all the information is only in Italian. There was a QR code supposedly for English, but it kept directing us to an Italian page. It could be much more engaging for international visitors with just a few improvements.

What a beautiful surprise! The museum was amazing! I can’t believe that I almost missed it! They were open Sunday and it was the best. Small but very well curated and organised. The guy at the entrance is very friendly and knowledgeable! He took the time to give us a master class! I recommend it very much! Good price as well!

Very nice museum, although most descriptions are only in Italian you can make them out, the pieces on display are unique and well kept.

Nice little museum with a few pretty gobsmacking archaeological finds. Those who can’t speak Italian should bring Google translator along, or not complain if they didn’t. Don’t expect more than from a local museum the nation in its name notwithstanding and you’ll enjoy it.

Really well kept, small but really interesting and here you can see the diadema of Hera Lacinia from the archeological site of Capo Colonna. 100% worth the visit.
