National Bern

Great location within a short walk of the railway station. Beautiful ‘old’ hotel with amazing single central lift like in the old movies. Good breakfast - simple continental - but very nice.||My single room is perfectly adequate for my short stay, but most importantly it is warm (December!!) comfy and very clean.||The best part was the check in - in all my years travelling as an airline pilot I have never met a nicer, more helpful receptionist when checking in. ||Ana is a credit to herself (and her father-we talked about him!!) and the hotel.||Kind, considerate, helpful, enthusiastic, motivated, polite. Her attention to detail in terms of maps, apps, buses etc etc was impressive.||Well done Ana!!! I wish she could teach the rest of the world how to do her job.

Stayed at Hotel National Bern — and for me, the main hotel criterion in a new city is location. This one is perfect! Only a 7–10 minute walk to the Old Town, with parking just 3 minutes away. The hotel has real character, connected to the National Theatre, which you can access directly from the 4th floor — such a unique touch! Our room had a private bathroom located outside, but it was clean, convenient, and had a personal key. Breakfast was included and served in a cozy restaurant on the first floor — a great start to the day. The building (and its 120-year-old elevator!) adds so much vintage charm. I would definitely stay here again and happily recommend it. 🏨

Lovely hotel located near the station. They have a historical elevator which in itself was an interesting experience. Check in/out was seamless. Room was clean and spacious enough for us. Overall really quiet with the only noise from the creaking floors from passerby's in the hallway. I really enjoyed staying here, thanks!

Clean and convenient location (close to train station) Breakfast is good selection and fresh orange juice.Classic charm with an old still operating elevator.Quite noisy at night from trams and buses running if you are a light sleeper. Not an issue for myself.

Hotel is in an ideal location with a very short walk from a nearby train station. The Hotel has a lovely old feel to it but is very clean. The breakfast is continental style but with enough on offer. The reception staff were very friendly and extremely helpful and positive about the City. The Hotel offers a pop up bar across the road. Very nice stay and the only complaint was soft pillows.

Beautiful charming hotel located centrally in Bern. It is a five minute walk from the Bahnhof train station. The antique elevator really adds to the charm and every corner is picturesque.

Comfort. Classic. Good breakfast. Close to train station. (Can be noisy at night from trams running outside. Windows are not sound proof)

Fantastic location Very convenient. However it is in the heart of the city and trams run all day and late into the evening so very very busy and noisy. If you are looking for peaceful and quiet sleep conditions this won't be for you. Beautiful hotel Amazing staff A great choice if in Bern
