A great visit and full day walking around the site and enjoy the variety and peace. It was very quiet in late October but everything was open so that suited us well. The birds of prey centre was amazing, we were the only visitors and the staff were really helpful and friendly. The glass house was an interesting mix from around the world and the grounds beautiful in autumn with various trails to explore. We were passing through all didn't get to use the 7 day ticket more, but was happy with the price for a full day out.

Doggy Days make this a great place to visit with our furry friends. We visited on a Friday and spent the day walking all the trails through meadows and woods, by streams, lakes, and waterfalls. There are lots of benches to stop and sit on, and informative signs to tell you about the things you see. The cafe and shop are nice to visit and dog friendly too. We had to come back again on Monday (your entry ticket is valid for 7 days) to visit the more formal gardens, glasshouses, and bird of prey centre. There are no dogs allowed in the last two, but there are plenty of places to sit and wait whilst your partner goes in. My favourite part of the gardens was the Broadwalk with its meandering stream and Rock of Ages.

An enjoyable place for a stroll... The dome has some nice exotic around the world plants and shrubs. The gardens themselves were a little bare but that's the winter season for you. As ever the birds of prey centre well worth the visit really informative and amazing to see birds of prey up close and personal

What a beautiful place to spend an afternoon with the family. We pushed our little baby around the massive gardens and then inside the amazing Glass Dome! Very reasonable pricing to enter too. We've even debated getting the annual pass, it's only around £100 for the year! Our favorite places included the Apothecary Store and the Glass Dome, with plants from all around the globe. We'll definitely visit again, at least once in each season. We'll have to try the Bird of Prey Center next time too.

Visited in October so I guess not the greatest month to see blooms and a host of colour, however was really impressed with the place. So many different areas to see, the dome is the centre piece but there are loads of smaller gardens and great walks around the lakes. Enjoyable day even managed to dodge the showers utilising the dome, the hot house and the cafe. Imagine that it's spectacular when all in bloom.

What an incredible place to visit, you could spends hours wondering around the grounds. The green house is absolutely stunning and i can only imagine what this would all look like in the summer, even so it was a fantastic day out and definitely worth a visit. Plus you get to go again for free with in seven days of your first vist.

Our family visit to the National Botanic Garden of Wales was absolutely lovely. From the moment we arrived, we were drawn in by the peaceful, wide-open landscapes, which are both stunning and calming. It’s one of those places where you immediately feel the stress melt away, and you just want to explore. The Great Glasshouse was one of our favourite spots. It’s such an impressive structure, and stepping inside felt like being transported to another world. The variety of plants from Mediterranean climates around the globe was amazing. Our kids loved wandering through, spotting unusual plants they had never seen before. It really sparked their curiosity and made the visit that much more special. One thing we appreciated was how much there was to do beyond just admiring the plants. There were plenty of opportunities for learning, with informative displays and hands-on exhibits that managed to be fun and educational at the same time. The focus on nature, conservation, and sustainability was woven throughout the experience in a way that really resonated with us as parents. After all the walking, we stopped at the café, which was a perfect little break. The food was delicious, fresh, and locally sourced—definitely a nice touch. It gave us a chance to sit down, relax, and enjoy the views before heading back out to explore more. All in all, the National Botanic Garden of Wales exceeded our expectations. It’s the kind of place that feels just right for a family day out—relaxing, inspiring, and full of beautiful sights and experiences. We’re already planning to come back and would recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and engaging outing with the family.
