I really enjoyed the cherry pie à la mode, the fresh picked and washed cherries and the tent with everything cherry you could imagine. I wanted to have a beer but didn't feel like paying $5 to get in and then $10 for a beer. There is also a carnival with games and rides and tons of carnival food

Giving the festival a 5/5 mainly for the Botanic Gardens Garden Party!!!!!! The lectures were both AWESOME, we loved the fairy houses, the giant cow was crazy, the roses were GORGEOUS, the cherry lemonade was lovely, the soothing walk-maze was fun, the gardens were all beautiful, and the staff/volunteers cared so much about us and their garden. We love!!! The festival also had adorable dog dock jumping - so cute - and the farmers market on Weds/Sat was fantastic.

Personally I think Food, Drink and even Souvenirs are way over priced. The grounds were clean and so were the porter potties which was Surprising for the crowd size. Bands were not playing during the day so I can't comment. Parking was horrible. Shame on the city for charging for it.

The porta johns were some of cleanest well maintained unit's I've seen at any major event. Period. Excellent job. Courteous employees. By dog jumping event. I'm sure all the same. Thnx

Living in TC, you forget how lucky you are! The Cherry Festival can be overwhelming for locals, but I’ve learned to love and appreciate it. My kids absolutely love coming here and taking part in as many events as we can! Truly blessed to live here and have a great festival right in your own back yard!

Traverse City, Michigan in the summer is beautiful to begin with but when you add the National Cherry Festival it's that much "sweeter". We planned it so we were also there over the fourth of July to enjoy the fireworks at night over the lake. The vendors were sparse and would have liked to have seen more. But, the ones that were there had quality stuff to share and we took full advantage. Hopefully, it grows in years to come. Don't forget to visit some of the local places in Traverse. Lots to choose from around the lake.

National Cherry Festival at Traverse City, Michigan all week long. Incredible air show with military and civilian aircraft to kick it all off, with the star performance of the US Navy Blue Angles. All hosted by the US Coast Guard Air Station Traverse City. Open ramp to see the various aircraft along with the City's Fire, law enforcement and lake rescue departments vehicles and personnel. The area of location is down town along the bay. It's the Bayview area. You won't regret the experience. Fun for all. Food. Canaveral rides, shopping and parades. A little heads up on the festival. June, July, August is the prime time for tourists. They come in from all over the world to take in the festivities and vacation. You must plan ahead for this. This years spectacular was three days of the US Navy Blue Angles. Next year it will be the US Airforce Thunderbirds.

Besides the air show, I didn't feel like this festival had much to offer. The parking is awful with no signs to direct people. The tents are all clustered together on muddy grass and there aren't enough of the "hot commodity" vendors to spread out the crowd. Super long lines for the cherry pie and the lemonade slush. Should have several vendors selling these in demand items.
