"Shop at local markets Shopping at local markets is always a highlight of travel in Latin America, where you can often learn about the crafts and items for sale from the vendors—many of whom are the same artisans or craftspeople who made those objects. At the National Handcrafts Market in San Salvador, textiles, pottery, paintings, and musical instruments are just some of the items for sale, reflecting the typical arts and crafts of El Salvador and neighboring countries."

I share the sentiments of other reviewers here: nice market. Smaller than your typical tourist landmark. If you don't have a chance to explore outside the capital area for Artisanal/handmade goods, then this place has something for everyone on your list. Vendors are not aggressive either. They're respectful and welcoming. Restroom is free here. A few parking spaces are also free.

The market itself was nice. A little on the smaller side and the vendors would not haggle on their prices. For being a street market it was also very pricey. We did get a few things but if we come back to El Salvador the craft market won’t be something that we do.

Pushy and overpriced. Fine, I guess, if you need a souvenir but don’t expect a good deal.

Great little stopping place to get some local gifts. Most people only took cash.

A nice market. It’s not very large and it is targeted to tourists. There are many beautiful things to get here, however they are not original. It’s the standard key chains and bits and bobs that can be found in other places. The folks are friendly and the atmosphere is fun- bright colors and fiesta music. Make sure you bargain and bring prices down. If you plan on visiting Ataco, skip this place! You can find everything for less in Ataco

Relatively small, yet very enjoyable crafts market boasting a pretty decent variety of items beyond the standard fare. There is a decent amount of parking, and the shop is actually fairly accessible for wheelchairs. The merchants are a bit pricey, but depending on what you find it may be worth it. Very colorful and lively, and the merchants don't overly harass. Recommend visiting El Salvador Artesanias with his amazing paintings that include sand from the Salvadoran shores!

Pretty good market. Pretty expensive most things. Try and bargain perhaps they can change the price. Bathrooms available and coffee place.

Everyone is really friendly and they have awesome things for cheap! Better to have cash in hand.. they'll knock off a couple bucks instead of using your atm/debit
