The Gallery houses an impressive variety of Indian art — from 19th-century paintings to contemporary works, sculptures, photography, prints and mixed-media. You’ll get to see works by iconic artists (traditional and modern) style Entry fee for Indian adults is ₹20. Good visitor facilities: like a museum shop, a library/archive,wheelchair and lift for different floors neat & clean washrooms. the gallery provides a calm, peaceful and greener environment — a nice contrast to Delhi’s hustle. If you love to explore different types of art with its a must visit for art lovers Things to keep in mind:- Photography restrictions Closed on Mondays

Nicely curated pieces, was privileged to get to see the Ghika Collection which was on display when I visited. However, better upkeep of the place is required with clear IN/OUT directions and arrows guiding through the space. It was sort of maze like. Got to see a variety of Indian art forms, nil representation from the North Eastern part. But overall, a highly enlightening experience.

The gallery has a huge collection of Indian modern art — from old masters to contemporary pieces. The space is quiet, well-organized, and gives you time to actually enjoy the art without rush. If you enjoy creativity, culture, or just want a break from the usual tourist spots, this place is totally worth it. 🎨🖼️

It's a great collection of modern art and paintings.....I spent more than two hours visiting the gallery spread in four floors of the building... Highly recommend for lovers of Indian art and culture...but photography inside the galleries not allowed and you will be tempted to visit again...

Calm, quiet and peaceful... If you're not someone who is into art or looking for something adventurous this is not for you. But if you're looking for a quiet escape from the fast life it's perfect. There's a meditation hall inside the jaipur House and the entire building itself offers different rooms to Just quietly sit and admire art. The ticket is only 20 rupees per person and at such an affordable price this place will not disappoint you .. It can easily take you 2-3 hours if you stroll around looking at the paintings. There are 4 floors in the new wing which by the way is the only wing with paintings . And the jaipur House is not too big, but you'll wish to sit there for a while so consider 30-45 minutes easily Photography is prohibited inside, so don't go for aesthetic pictures.

The National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA), housed in the elegant Jaipur House near India Gate, is one of the best places in Delhi for art lovers. It has a vast collection of over 17,000 works by iconic artists like Amrita Sher-Gil, Raja Ravi Verma, M. F. Husain, Jamini Roy, and more. The galleries are well-curated, tracing the journey of Indian art from the 1850s to the contemporary era. ✅ Pros: Affordable entry (₹20 for Indians), beautiful architecture, rich and diverse collection, free guided tours, peaceful ambience.

The gallery is a very beautiful place to see modern art and the work of summer famous Indian artists. It also has a temporary exhibition from Amrita Sher Gill. The main and permanent exhibition is 4 floors and the temporary exhibition is setup in the Jupiter house which is just across the main hall. Another point is they don't allow taking photos or videos inside the gallery... Although the ticket is only 20Rs., they don't really provide a map or any direction for inside the Gallery. Apart from that the place is really well maintained and also has a boutique where you can buy some art replicas and accessories. It is also wheelchair accessible and has a few gardens to sit around in the evening.
