Nice little gallery, there were many special exhibitions going on! Really liked it. You enter and buy ticket from the souvenir shop, which costs US$15. Avoid the toilets if you can - not clean and no running water.

Funny how the National Art Gallery has been a part of my route for over a decade and despite eating at the different little cafes that have been a part of it over the years and even attending a few events set at the gallery, I had never taken the time to actually tour the exhibitions, and oh-my, have I missed out on so much over the years! My visit to the National Art Gallery was so inspiring! I fell in love with forms of art I never knew would speak so much to me! It is definitely a must try and must see! I will be chasing new exhibitions every-time they get to change! The place deserves my apology for sleeping on it for so long💚 The art is beautifully curated and super unique! The artists on exhibit all just created pieces that went beyond human imagination! I am obsessed.

We really enjoyed our visit to the National Gallery and will return for the next exhibition. It's a nice space and kid friendly. We went on the weekend and we saw some children taken part in art class upstairs. Unlike many museums, it actually feels like people/artists come here to socialize -- it has a feeling of community. I was expecting lots of sculpture (and there is a sculpture garden) and was really pleasantly surprised with the paintings and installations. Plenty of parking outside and small gift shop and cafe inside. Well worth a visit.

A wonderful place at the heart of the CBD where you can escape from the busy life. Provides different art 🎨 be it mosaic, sculpture, paintings, drawings, prints and decorative arts. Also got a restaurant within the premise which provides 5 star services

The exhibitions change from time to time. It's a peaceful place that really showcases local artists. However, it's rather empty in some sections. The lighting on the first floor is perfect. It's only $2 per person, making it an affordable date activity.

Excellent National Gallery exhibiting the paintings and artworks of celebrated Zimbabwean Artists, there four separate halls in the first floor aesthetically arranged with meaningful signages, don't miss the sculpture exhibits outside the Gallery, there is admission fee to enter the Gallery, the staff, particularly, the lady at the reception is very kind and helpful and she guided us to what to see on priority. Photography is allowed inside the Gallery.

This was an interesting place to visit to pass time before leaving country. The building itself is beautiful, speaks of a different time. While I can appreciate the effort put in by individual artists and advocates of the arts, the curation of a lot of the works were disappointing. A lot of it seemed either outdated or poorly executed/presented. There were a few pieces in there that I liked. Hope in the near future more funding can go toward properly investing into the space and the country’s artists.
