I came in a Friday after lunch, with my friend, it was recommended to start from the 4th level and going down until 1 . We didn’t even enter good in the 4th level that the old security lady came at us telling we cant enter with the water and to leave it at the door, we left it at the entrance door and started to look at paintings, after I took a picture to a painting the same lady came very aggressive to ask me to show her my last picture, showed her, she just looked and left, after I looked at her and ask her if I m not allowed to take pictures, she said we can. That was just strange. After we walked further more, she was just following us staring at us angry . After a while she followed us and nagging her head , I got really stressed out by this attitude of this security lady, like I m some sort of criminal, and I decided to take a seat and stay on my phone to calm down, my friend saw me and he came by my side to hug me, take some selfies and to change my mood and kissed me, that lady came very fast at us screaming in the museum to get out! I asked her what is happening, she said to get out immediately pointing the finger to the exit, we both asked what is happening here, she said “this is a art gallery! Get out immediately or I call security to escort you out!” We was in shock, what happened? What did we do to receive such treatment? Is Prague a Muslim city and I don’t know that?We didn’t make any noise like other people who were next to us, we just made pictures with our phone and hug each other. I ve been in more than 40 museums all over Europe and Canada and I never had such treatment. That lady destroyed my mood for the whole day and also destroyed my last day in Prague. Extremely unpolite and unprofessional. I cannot recommend this museum because the old lady screamed at us to get out shortly after we entered. We paid to get our last day ruined. I also want to add that after we came down I tried to inform the people who were selling the tickets as I didn’t know where else to go , they just said they are sorry and that they will report the behavior . As I checked other reviews here , more people had the same experience as we did so I think nothing it changed, I mean I m paying a ticket to enter and see the gallery and after a while we started the tour we are escorted out by the old lady who didn’t leave us a second from her eyes since the second we stepped there? What is this?

We were very excited to visit the *Old Masters I, II* exhibitions, especially since the names of Dürer, Rembrandt, and Holbein were mentioned. But in reality, only one or two paintings from them were included.. Indeed, we saw a few captivating paintings—portraits and still lifes—that were both technically and aesthetically impressive. However, overall, both exhibitions were disappointing. They mainly featured darkened Christian-themed altarpieces affected by time, icons, or oppressive medieval scenes following the same formula (if you've seen one, you've seen them all). I'm sorry, but personally, I cannot recommend them in good conscience!

A small but fancy museum. I went to the impressionists’ exhibition. The paintings were of high artistic quality and social popularity, with captions easy to understand. The windows were closed especially to prevent sunlight and contribute to a constant surroundings of those paintings. Also the lightning setting is perfect for me to take photos with clear details seemingly impossible to get from such a distance. The after interactive section was well designed; pity so few people came and the final result was not that perceivable.

Huge! I didn't have enough time to see everything although I spent 3 hours in 2 floors. Also in the 3rd floor you can find 2 paintings of Picasso and 1 of van Goch

Great art gallery right in the middle of the Old Town Square. Routinely changes exhibits. Worth checking out if you’re tired if walking around/want to switch up your tourist attractions.

Beautiful museum. We saw the Asian exhibition only, it is on permanent display. Quite a huge exhibition, you will need at least 2.5h for detailed reading and enjoying the pieces displayed.

Terrible xenophobic staff!!! About the worst I have expienced. The warden followed us literally step by step and breathed down out neck. An old czech lady gave us such a bad time and ruined our stay. If you look not czech they will criminalize you every step you make. Shame of Prague. Shame on the managment. I took a photo of her badge and complained. They probaly do not care anyhow

The art gallery in the old town square is under construction and temporarily closed. The nice reception lady says it last about one year🥺
