I have been waiting for over six months for my parcel to be released and always some excuse. I have tried to phone and just get a crackly phone message in Sinalese which ends with please dial later in English. This has very nearly destroyed my business. I have dealt with Sri Lanka for many years and have never had the like of this. I could understand a minor delay as rules changed so documentation had to be renewed, and the move of office, but over six months is a disgrace. I hope the NGJA get back to the efficiency it once had because if this is the "new" NGJA I shall definitely be looking to find alternatives.

Extremely poor administration. The office moved more than a month ago, but general phone numbers are useless and Not working Google Maps is outdated, and emails are ignored. No proactive communication at all. The public is forced to waste time due to sheer incompetence. 🤮

Moved to a new location. RTFC & WMC Building, Lake Drive, Narahenpita.

The main general phone lines have not been working for the past two weeks. No one has responded to emails either. Very poor service.

I was pleasantly surprised by the exceptional service provided by this government authority office. The country truly needs more institutions like these. The level of service I received was nothing short of amazing. I had made a mistake in my report, but the staff members handled it with utmost professionalism and efficiency. They corrected the error seamlessly, without any hesitation or inconvenience. I want to specifically mention Mr. Banadara for his kind and prompt response to our mistake. His assistance was greatly appreciated. Overall, my experience with this government authority office was outstanding. The staff members were competent, accommodating, and displayed a high level of dedication towards their work. I highly recommend this institution to anyone in need of their services. Throughout the application process, I made approximately 5-6 calls to NGJA, and each time, the staff, including Ms. Udeshika, displayed exceptional kindness and patience. I must highlight that the quick and prompt responses I received from a Government Authority exceeded my expectations. It is indeed a testament to the commitment and professionalism of Ms. Udeshika and the entire NGJA team. In conclusion, I want to extend my sincere appreciation to Ms. Udeshika Subashini for her exemplary service, as well as to the entire staff at NGJA for their commitment to providing exceptional assistance. Relates to mountain express fedex sri lanka. I have escalated their service level charges and negligence and the monopoly they have in gem and jewellery exports. No one at NGJA contacted me so far.
