"Looking for Modern Architecture Prague is known for its baroque architecture, undamaged as it was in WWII, but the award-winning National Library of Technology, designed by Projektil Architects and completed in 2009, is a fine example of the city's contemporary architecture. Look for the building's measurements written on the outer façade of therounded semi-transparent building. The ground floor has abookstore, and space to relax, and an exhibition hall, and the library’s open atrium haswalls are adorned with muralsby Romanian artist Dan Perjovschi. The bright floors below are covered ina swirling pattern of bright reds, yellows, oranges, blues, and greens."
It’s a really clean and modern library. There are quiet study rooms, teamwork rooms, as well as rooms with vending machines for food and drinks. I saw a small vending machines for stationery too. The toilets and food vending machines are on each floor, making them convenient to access.
Each floor is quite small, so it is quite a walkable place.
There seems to be some Czech Technical University (CTU) classes in a few rooms.
The main hallways are a bit noisy as people are walking up and down staircases, so studying in the more remote corners of each floor may be better.
I think the political drawings you can view in the center of the building are cute.
On my first visit, I managed to enter without printing a free day pass—I simply asked the person at the entrance to let me in. (I’m not sure if it’s because I looked like a confused CTU student who forgot her card.) For my second visit, I managed to print my ticket at the ticket printer right next to the turnstiles.
During the exam season, on a Saturday, the place was almost full though. I had a walk a bit to find a suitable seat.
It’s not a tourist attraction per se—other libraries in Prague have a more storied history—but I think that it’s a good place to study.

It’s like trying to study at the train station. Noisy and never clean, graffiti and leaving trash everywhere apparently permitted. Access should be only for students of the university and paying guests or reservation similar as it used to be. At a minimum with limit on number of people and more cleaning. It used to be a great study location a few years ago for students when rules were enforced, now it’s a nightmare for real students.

There are lot of book. They are about very different subjects. Also there are many English book about subjects. It is very good place to work, meet, discuss. You don’t need registration to use the library. Only if you want to take book, you need it. There are a cafe, meeting rooms.

there is always a pleasant student-like informal atmosphere here. It is cozy and I have never observed any aggression here. there is sufficient space between the tables for conversations, and some students use to work on there project. the terrace outside is spacious and in a pleasant environment. There is a large hall available where you can sit in luxurious armchairs and the toilets are excellently maintained within a short walking distance. the consumption offer is also varied and of high quality.

Such a cool place.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a library as cool as this one!
Everywhere you see there a story why something it’s in each place (design).
They also have a place where you can play Mario bros and stuff.
They said you are able to stay the entire night if you need to continue working.
It’s free entrance.

Gets super busy through midday and early afternoon but still usually quiet enough to study. People are mostly very polite to each other.

This place is amazing! Primarily serving as a studying safe haven for the Technical university students, this library is open to everyone to either admire the architecture and design or just sit on a sofa and chill over a good book.
