Pretty good. Obviously packed during the intermediate days of Passover. Not a whole lot of interactive things to do. The models of historical Israeli ships were fascinating, but don't expect to spend many hours there with kids. 1-2 hours is enough time.

This was a lovely museum to visit in Haifa. I went with friends and spent just over an hour here. It's not a huge museum, and the top floor with archaeology was the most interesting, but the exhibit on astrophotography was really incredible. It's free on Shabbat, but the museum was full of small children who were very loud. Definitely kid friendly, and they had lots of activities to dress up in costumes, draw pictures and more.

Sure is NOT worth the 3hr "Roundtrip" from Airbnb to THIS "So Called...Museum"! As SOON as I walked in the door, I was directed over to a Woman at the "Kids Books Cashier's Desk" by a young man sitting by the door; on his phone. I walked over, proceeded to get her attention, politely. She was holding a phone receiver in her hand. I think she was on hold with someone. After She started Talking in "Hebrew" to me...I spoke to her BACK (IN HEBREW) That: "I speak a little Hebrew; but not Good" and asked if she spoke English. MY GOODNESS, Her Response, was as if I shifted her life! SHE Pointed TO ME; Then, Pointed back OVER to the young man that sent me to HER! Said a bunch of stuff and didn't realize that I could understand "Some" of what she was saying. I picked up the words (American; Does not speak Hebrew; I'm on the phone; Get 35 Shekels from her.... blah blah blah) I walked thru this "Drabby" Windowless, All the same 70's Style Colored Carpet Museum in about 20 minutes! The Lighting is Extremely Poor and You Can Hardly See The Glass Encased Artifacts. There's NOTHING Inviting About this place. Yes, if you like Historical Maritime Archeological Objects; You MIGHT Like it. PS) Bring a Flashlight 🔦

Exceeded our expectations. Many interesting exhibits professionally presented. Learned a lot about Israel's ports and shipping industry. Even some interactive fun stuff for the kids.

This beautifully curated museum offers a plethora of information in a multitude of languages, accessible for guests of many nationalities. Inside one will find information pertaining to nautical and Maritime archaeology in addition to underwater excavation videos playing for up-to-date education. One of the most accurate and organized museums in Israel, which also includes educational tours and activities for children. I visited for research purposes, but will return as a visitor in the near-future.

A very nice museum. Not very big, and can be seen in a couple of hours. Free entry on weekends at the current time. Among different era ship models and artifacts found at sea, there are interactive exhibits and games for all ages, such as battleship. The museum has an interesting shop where one can buy and build lego ship models, and other creative puzzles, though the prices are high.

Small maritime museum with two main exhibition floors. On the lower level you'll find some pirate weaponry items and models. On the upper floor there are historical ship models and some archeological items. Except for an astronomical photos exhibition on the entrance floor there aren't any new exhibitions. The entire tour is 1.5 - 2 hours.

It's a nice museum, there are many things to do for kids, but it is a bit small. You can spend an hour here with kids. If you are without kids and really read everything then maybe more than an hour. It can be sensed they don't have large budgets. The museum is free on saturday, which is nice. So overall it can be one stop of a few stops in the area but I don't think it is can be a single attraction for a half a day. You can also go to the cable car nearby or the Eliyahu cave if you are into religious stuff. The other Navy museum is cooller for kids IMO, but it isn't open at the weekend.
