Entry to the museum is free and it has a mix of items on display. There was a section devoted to the presidents, with their portraits and the cars used in formal motorcades. Then there was an art gallery and a section displaying the flora, fauna and tribal items, handicrafts and model huts. I’ve given the rating of 2 stars because the displays are poorly curated and explained. Additionally there are no personnel around to guide. It’s a shame since there is an undeniable richness of content that can be displayed more impactfully.

The museum building seems to be very new and the museum is definitely still being developed. There were some displays about the country of Botswana but not much on its history. On the art gallery side, there were only 4 paintings in one of the rooms in the museum side. The usual exhibition area of arts was taken over by a Russian photo display of the 80th anniversary of the Great Patriotic War. Why does Botswana has such an exhibition really puzzled me. Overall, the museum was a disappointment.

This will soon be a very nice and instructive museum about the history of the brotherly people of Botswana. The building looks great and modern, while marrying well with the local surroundings. Since it is not fully open yet, visitors will only have access to the collection of beautiful vintage presidential cars, and a few objects related to the first telecommunications in the country.

When I visited was still under construction. I think once it’s ready it will be very beautiful. I had written such a nice review but my phone closed it by mistake and now I do not know what to write. Loved the atmosphere here. It was very clean, green, and sound. Loved the car section. A definite recommendation.

Some pretty awesome art and cultural artifacts here. Was nice to learn about the San people and see their incredible paintings. I enjoyed that eat art piece had a statement about the author. The inside is air conditioned and the staff is helpful. Def worth stopping by.

The National Museum is undergoing renovation, the new building is spacious with good lighting from huge windows. I particularly liked the first presidential cars display. These are 3 Diamler Limousines that were used by Sir Seretse Khama, as early as 1968. They are still in good shape. The other display areas are either temporary or still under construction. From traditional musical instruments to fauna and flora from across Botswana. When complete this will be a great place to visit especially with family. The is also a nice display of a traditional hut with house hold items. There is also an ampitheater "The Little Theater" for various cultural activities.

The museum is still under construction, and you can tell that the project will look amazing once it is done . There is a fee payable at the entrance. I loved the car collections and the history of them . Interesting .
