A modest, rustic museum with very limited exhibits / artifacts on display (and many of the artifacts are mere copies/replicas). 550 rupees entry for foreigners. You probably won’t spend more than 20 min inside. I wouldn’t recommend visiting the museum. Looking at the old building from the outside would be sufficient.

15 minute side quest in the Galle fort if you are bored. Can buy tickets at the premises. No crowd which was nice. Recommended if you are into artsy stuff and intricate detailed antique pieces. Not much to see but guess that's a good thing cuz it will get boring if it was bigger.

A very small but quaint museum detailing history of Galle. It is a little run down but has interesting displays of uniforms, weaponry, porcelain and furniture. Cheao entry price. You could spent 30 mins here as there are only a few rooms. I only lasted about 15 mins as there was no aircons and only one or two fans. I visited in the middle of the day and the heat and humidity was terrible inside. Plan to visit early in the morning.
