This museum was the brightest impression in my voyage to this part of Abruzzo! There is rich collection of Abruzzian art inside, most of all I was amazed by the large hall of wooden statues of Madonna and saints from far and wild mountain villages. The pictures of Abruzzian artist are great too. Before visit I was (to my shame) totally ignorant of the art of Abruzzo, but after my visit I know there were great artists here!
And I was lucky to visit the museum without ticket (it was 4th of November, perhaps it was state feast?); normally the ticket is 8 euro (November 2024) but it's certainly worth of this price.
It's located near railway station, but it's a bit difficult to find the way to it from the centre (perhaps, some signs on the way will be useful)
