Free entrance and I was during a carnaval. Great prices on food, coconut water (7 reals), and other snacks. Great for kids. There is free public washrooms but they need to add more especially during events. Lovely scenery and I did not feel uncomfortable as a tourist. Some police officers. The museum has no fee but it is basically 6 or 7 crystals as shown in the pics.

Very nice park to visit beautiful trees and historical significance, museum is closed unfortunately it has been closed since 2018 due to a big fire, but crews have been working on restoring it since 2019

Worth visiting because of the historical significance of the building, and the park is nice. The museum itself has some interesting collections.

Good exposition of natural sciences. I feel that the Museum should tell me more about Pedro II, emperor of Brazil.

It's closed and under construction, even during open hours.

The biggest biological and natural collection in Brazil, with more than 9 million items, started by D. Pedro II and now belonged of Rio de Janeiro Federal University (UFRJ). You can see dinosaurs, insects, mummies, brazilian's natives crafts and more in exhibitions. The museum is located at Quinta da Boa Vista, a gorgeous park where it's possible to play with kids, have picnics, practice sports and have good time. There are parking area inside, metro/train station and bus stop nearby. There are restaurant and snack bar inside of museum and outside, at the park. A really interesting tour.
