National Museum of History of Azerbaijan

I found the museum a very interesting way to spend a few hours. The museum is not large but it covers a wide range of the time line of this region. And sparks your interest into delving deeper into the history and the people of this region. Well worth the entertainment fee.

We visited this museum and really enjoyed the exhibits and overall experience. However, it was a bit inconvenient that card payments were not accepted – only cash. It would be great if they offered more modern payment options in the future.

Museum was good but it will be really better that a brief 10 min documentory about should be available for visitors like in many museums around the globe. Overall it was a good experience.

Very informative, we enjoyed it very much. The only thing they could take care of is pointers tothe entrance. We walked almost arround zhe building, thinking it's obviously closed, before wecame to the entrance.

Nice place guiding us through the History of the country from 4000 BC until today

I came here quite late (16:55) so I didn't have to wait long. It was an amazing experience but since I was late (the museum closes at 18:00) the staff waited for me and they seemed really happy to be able to go home 10 minutes earlier. I couldn't enjoy the museum because of that but overall, fascinating. It's a huge place so I recommend arriving 2-3 hours earlier if you really wanna get to feel the full experience of being in a museum.

A huge museum offering pieces from prehistory through nearly modern day. As a tourist in the country, this was a great stop on day two of the country, so I could get better context on the nation of Azerbaijan and its people.

Was tinned by the beauty of this building, other than a great collection of exhibits I could easily spend the entire afternoon wandering around. The highlight was saved at last for the indoor display of the palace, including a dining room, an office and a bedroom.
