This is the best medieval art museum ive ever been to. If you have even a passing interest in this art style its a must see. Youll never experience such uniquely beautiful and priceless works so intimately. They have been prevented from selling their merchandise though by the local authorities which is absolutely ridiculous.

This was one of my highlights in Albania and for sure a bit surprise! I never expected such a well designed and well thought museum - and above all with one of the most enthusiastic guides I ever met in museums. He surely loves what he does and even though my interest in medieval Christian art was not that big, he totally made me focused, interested and curious about the exhibits. Super interesting place, I definitely recommend it!

Wonderful collection of icons and religious art from all over Albania. Beautifully set up and a good audio guide available. Nice park outside with big trees and benches to rest on before or after the visit.

I visit the Medieval Museum often with tourists, and every time their excitement and positive impressions make me even prouder of this place. It’s amazing to share its history and beauty with visitors as a guide. Truly inspiring!
