National Museum of Natural History

There are four floors, with a cafeteria on the fifth level, and displays on geology and the animals of the Dominican Republic. They have a few dinosaur replicas, and many stuffed birds on display. There is a short video presentation about a scientific theory for the origins of life and a large whale skeleton in the atrium. It's easy to go through it in an hour, and it's ok. It's kind of a nice walk back there to get to the building. They charged 200 pesos per person for entry. My favorite thing was probably the small little moon rock.

Small but nice museum. It covers not only Dominican natural history, but the earth itself.

I visited the museum with a group of children age 3-14. They all had a good time and enjoyed the exhibits. The guides were friendly and made us feel at home.

Had different small exhibits, clean, air conditioned, walkable but also narrow elevators. Very friendly staff. Visit on a weekend and you have no wait. Parking is easy. Centrally located in a Plaza de Cultura.

Very good museum. They have quite an extensive collection in each area and it is overall very immersive and fun. A great activity to do with friends and family. Right in the middle of the city, a metro station on the same compound and very cheap.

It is a treasury trove in the middle of a gorgeous plaza surrounded by gardens. The museum is well-thought and no matter how many times I visit, there is always something amazing to discover about the natural world.
