2 floors with several sessions from ancient history of Oman to modern era, including Islamic presentation. Better follow the instructions at the entrance the guide suggested to start the visiting tour. The short documentary in the 1st floor film room is very informative, separately played in Arabic and English, no subtitles, briefly introduced the history of Oman.

I visited the National Museum of Oman with guests from India, and it was a wonderful experience. The museum is a must-visit for anyone wanting to explore Omani culture, especially expats. It offers a deep insight into Oman’s history and heritage, making it a very educational and interesting place. The museum is well-maintained, not crowded, and an ideal tourist spot. For Omanis, entry is free. For expats with a resident card, there is a different fee structure, and tourists without a resident card pay a separate fee. I recommend visiting before 4 pm as it closes after that. Overall, I had a great experience and left very happy. Highly recommend!😍

You see the history and the epochs of Oman It’s a meditative and relaxing environment The Omanis are so kind and welcoming- friendly and polite For sure you need to see the film ( all about Oman history) in the small cinema inside and also in Arabic language- even if you don’t understand, it worth to listen this amazing sound- I’m sure you will love as I did.

The National Museum of Oman is a must-visit for history lovers! The stunning building houses beautifully preserved artifacts, from ancient manuscripts to intricate jewelry and weapons. I especially loved the collection of old musical instruments, offering a glimpse into Oman’s artistic traditions. The exhibits are well-organized and interactive, making history come alive. Even if you're not a history buff, it's a fascinating place to explore. Highly recommend!

This museum is very well organized into various galleries. There are some temporary galleries as well. There is a small snack bar to buy some coffee, juices or snacks. The museum shows the history of Oman very well.
