Las Cuevas (the caves) were wonderful! But they were physically challenging for this group of 60-somethings (glad I took ibuprofen before!). Some of the steps, climbs, scrambles and ladders are very challenging - especially going down, with limited lighting, and your helmet (provided!) banging the cave roof every few seconds. But the pools were delightful, and worth all the knocks and aches. Two of the three pools you can jump into (and we did!! Even at our ages!). We've visited many caves, but this is the first time we've HEARD the sound a stalactite makes when struck (gently!!) with a metal rod. THEY ARE MUSICAL PIPES!!! Because they're hollow! Who knew?!? Our guide was very good, and told not just about the caves and the history, but also about all the flora. He got a big tip from us. Not to be missed - IF you're up for the challenge.

It was awesome, the weather was clear on the way up, but once we got there it got nice an foggy. Loved it.

Quick excursion in Cabarete. Ask a taxi or motoconch to give you a ride or you can walk down to the end of the road. Reasonable interesting and fun

The staff’s english is very good, the caves are interesting and must-to-see. You can visit 3 caves and you can swin in 2 caves of them. After the trip, we stayed and swam in the little lagoon in front of the reception which was a unique experience with the locals. They were nice and we really liked it. The water is clean and beautiful. I really recommend this program. Important to notice: If you have arachnophobia or claustrophobia, it is not for you.

Guided tour of 1.5-2 hrs for 20$/person ; an access to 3 beautiful caves with the possibility of swimming in two of them, a nice jungle walk with the botanical local curiosities shared on the way, and the remains of "Jungle John's" club (must have been quite cool when it existed). Great place to visit when spending some time in Cabarete.
