8 ways to explore Singapore’s Botanic Gardens - SilverKris

"This montane-style glasshouse recreates tropical mountain forest conditions across three display houses—the Sembcorp Cool House, the Yuen Peng McNeice Bromeliad Collection and the Tan Hoon Siang Mist House—and presents more than 1,000 orchid species and hybrids alongside bromeliads, gingers, rhododendrons and gesneriads. Each house mimics different altitudes and temperatures to demonstrate how orchid diversity responds to changing microclimates." - Aleemah Basirah

The Botanic Gardens is ever so popular and well maintained. The food at Prive was so so. Service was ok but the big disappointment was the laksa that came in a small bowl with very little laksa broth and full of shredded chicken and no prawns!

I like the national orchid garden. Good historical documents and has many orchid varieties

This place was amazing, all the orchids were bred to be so unique and so beautiful, I spent hours looking around and enjoyed seeing what they had to offer, some of the paths were closed for maintenance and for upgrades, this just made me want to go back another year to see what more they have! The gift shop was nice too and had orchids for sale in a vial that you can take home and plant!

Any day any weather you will experience new things in the Botanical Garden. Walk around and explore, most areas are free, some charges for the orchid garden.

Been here many times. Still think it is a good place to relax. The garden is very well planned and full of greenery. There is also a new indoor garden air-conditioning space where you can enjoy completely different species of orchids. If it rains, there are many places to hide. There are also drinks vending machines. Even if you need to pay in the park, I suggest you come. It's worth it!👍

Absolutely spectacular! These garden were Beautiful and very well put together. Clearly a lot of thought has been put into the displays. They also had spots specifically set up for photo opportunities which helps to reduce clogging on the paths. There are bathrooms and places to get refreshments near by. There are also shaded areas throughout the gardens where you can shelter from the rain or sun as needed.

Well manicured and maintained, this place is. The design of this part of Botanic gardens takes you on a journey through meandering pathways and cooling glasshouse. Certainly worth the entrance fee. Orchids are one of the most intriguing flowers. As the old adage goes necessity is the mother of evolution, these orchids are perfectly evolved to benefit from their symbiotic pollinators. Some uses trickery to entice the male species of insects to land on the stigma, some make the landing pad comfortable for a nice sip of delicious nectar. Amazing!
