"Situated in St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Cathedral, architectural monument of 1909, it is one of the most beautiful buildings in Kiev from early XX century, built in Gothic stylized forms an arrow high spears. The place is a must-see for lovers of instrumental music and gothic architecture. The Music hall was finished in 1978, were a special attention was given to aesthetic decoration as well as making comfortable conditions for a hall. Built specifically for the organ hall, masters of "Rieger-Kloss" Company (Czechoslovakia) constructed a big concert organ. They tried to approximate its look to the architecture of the church, unifying unique arquitecture with a unique instrument." - Eugene Shylov

The acoustics in the 1882 hall are so precise you can hear a program page turn from the balcony. Musicians say the stage's wooden floor vibrates differently for various composers. The chandelier's 240 crystals were each hand-cut in Bohemia.

The reall good place that everyone can to listen a live music. The marvelous atmosphere really mesmerizing. Lysenko column hall is really awesome place. A goid performance passagez of music, the conductor's gifted and sounds of violin are impressed me. Whem I'm here I relly forget of my everydays problems and rat race.

One of the best performances I've seen! The costumes, music, songs, atmosphere - it's incredible. The ensemble of bandura players is considered to be the true culture of Ukraine. We were especially impressed by the songs based on the poetry of the poet Taras Shevchenko. Tickets cost up to $10. There are always free seats in the hall.

Wonderful performance, but didn’t care for choice of music in second half. Solo pianist was wonderful. Nice long intermission with good treats.

That's a nice building, it has its charm and spirit. I was here for a musical performance of national symphonic orchestra, it was an overnight success. I had a great time listening to best works of Hans Zimmer. I'll be back for sure :)

Very beautiful location, music and ambient was very good, a note, don't buy the cheapest tickets on the balcony, you hear the concert very well, but you will see nothing 😂
