National Theatre

Checking 2nd Praha house (4 total, 1 under construction which is the best one and went there decade-ish ago. The last ones is the mordern and I'm not interested). "Hordubal", is a play (w/ substitute), quite interesting and I'm liking it!!! Plus love love , the before the show painted stage curtain (missed yesterday since I was 5mins late) and got to admired the European, they do enjoy the entertainment and also appreciated the art of intetmission. They do have drinks and snacks, plated sandwich(es) & sweets that is. They do really enjoying as a meal before and during the break.

The huge Neo-Renaissance theater building impresses with its grandeur. I was lucky to attend Dvořák’s opera Rusalka — it was a double pleasure, both from the performance and from the theater’s interior. Absolutely magnificent. Highly recommended

Wow, wow, wow! Buy tickets and go. A gorgeous place with history in its walls — you can feel it in every detail. Beautiful ballet and orchestra performances. Remember to wear some evening clothes to match the atmosphere and the people around you.

Took a friend to visit Prague for the first time and had to make sure he gets to see one performance in the National Theater of Prague. Classic art culture and Prague goes hand in hand. And our expectations where full filled. I enjoy the experience that comes with the service and the quality in performance and the decoration of the stage.

The façade of the National Theatre in Prague is a Neo-Renaissance masterpiece that captivates at first sight. Richly adorned with allegorical sculptures and figures from Slavic mythology, it reflects the grandeur and cultural spirit of the nation. The golden canopy and the dome covered with green and gold tiles shimmer beautifully in the sunlight, creating a striking contrast with the city around it. It’s impossible to walk by without stopping to admire every detail of this architectural gem.

I watched the Rusalka opera here last night and it was an amazing experience. The acting and the production were excellent. I really enjoyed the mystical atmosphere and the quality of this historic theater. Highly recommended!

I saw the Barber of Seville here and had a wonderful experience. The building was stunning and acoustics were more than adequate. My view though high, had great visibility. For english speakers, they have performances with concurrent Czech and English subtitles. I especially loved the standing table areas where champagne and conversation can be enjoyed before the production starts and during intermission. Dont forget to arrive early to take some photos!

I visited the National Theatre from the outside, and it was truly impressive! The architecture is magnificent and full of history. The golden details on the roof shine beautifully, especially under the sunlight. It’s definitely one of Prague’s most iconic landmarks

Built in 1877, this theater is beautiful inside and outside! But don't just come look at it...experience it! Theater tickets in Prague about 1/3rd the cost of seeing a live show in America, take advantage! I enjoyed an amazing presentation of Carmen, my first time! Loved it! For $35, I got a seat inside a semi private box, which I think would been at least $100 anywhere in America. Be sure to dress up a notch than your usual crappy travel wear...dress shirt and khakis/slacks at minimum for men.

Beautiful renascentist facade building, finished in 1877 but was inaugurated in 1881 with the opera Libuše. It's worth the visit from the outside. Hermoso edificio de estilo neorenacentista del 1877 pero inaugurado el 1881 con la ópera Libuše. Vale la pena la visita desde afuera.

An amazing theatre which should be experienced by as many people as possible. We attended it to see Lohengrin (Wagner's opera) and it was a wonderful spectacle with accompanying excellent acoustics from the orchestra.

Wonderful experience. The interior is beautiful--you need to go to each landing--and you can go to the roof to get some city shots across the river. The play was also great--it was in a foreign language but you can follow along somewhat for the scenery. Be sure to get directions to your seating, they have double stairways on each side which is a bit confusing. Highly recommend if you get a chance to spend the evening here!
