Enjoyed exploring the servants 'downstairs' and learning about the family who lived here. Many of the family's possessions are on display. Pleasant stroll around the lake and gardens, even in the depths of winter. Friendly, helpful volunteers and good food and drinks in the café.

Was our first time visiting and we were impressed on a very cold February morning, we were able to park which was a bonus and then upon arrival we had a small wait to show our cards and make our way in, staff were welcoming and very friendly and informative throughout. The house was beautiful well preserved like stepping back in time all the smells just wonderful!! There is a lovely shop on site where we purchased some lovely chutney and there was a restaurant upstairs but we didn’t visit on this occasion definitely next time all in all a really nice visit and lots of outstanding walks to be had can’t wait for the summer visits.

Great house and gardens to visit. Lots of history to learn from the NT volunteers, like the swords on the ceiling in the servants dining room. See if you can see the left handed sword. All the swords belonged to the militia prior to the Police Force being created. They were all numbered individually and handed back in when Sir Robert Peel created the Police. Well worth a visit.

Christmas time in Erddig hall makes this National Trust site one of the most beautiful I've ever visited. Well maintained and well cared with many devoted volunteers. Great food and drinks and friendly staff. I will be back.

Great way to spend a few hours getting your history fix. There is plenty to see and learn about in the house, and most of the rooms have volunteers in that are more than happy to have a chat. What was particularly interesting is that you get to see the lower rooms in the house, not just the more grand rooms where the family would have lived. There is a nice collection of vintage cars and carriages that were used at some point in the dim and distant past. The grounds are stunning and very well maintained. There is a nice pond that is full of carp that seemed quite happy to come and say hello at the waters edge. In the courtyard, before you enter the house there is a secondhand book shop, restaurant, and ice parlour to enjoy. Dogs are allowed but only in certain areas, so if you want the full experience, leave your furry friends at home for this one. Outside of the walled area of the gardens there are loads of things to see, so if you are only here for the day give yourself plenty of time to explore.

Recommend subscribing to National Trust as many places to visit and a lot cheaper. Lovely gardens and interesting trip back in time. Restaurant and shop on grounds. Staff really helpful and knowledgeable. Can quite happily spend hours there. Toilets and easy parking.

Such a beautiful place and kept in such good shape. This time of year it was decorated in Christmas decorations and looked incredible. Recommend to anyone in the area to visit.

Absolutely wonderful experience. Fantastic inside and out, massive gardens and very knowledgeable guides inside the manor. Very thankful to the ladies who shared amazing facts about the house, the process of creating it, history of servants and their handmade pieces, the ceilings and interiors. It was a wonderful experience and I would recommend it to everyone especially in spring summer when the flowers are in bloom!

Yelp
Erddig hall is stunning and the ground are great for a picnic. It is expensive to get in as are all national trust properties but they are all so well maintained that you dont really mind paying. The national trust cafe is lovely with gorgeous cakes, but is also quite dear. The grouns have several intersting details such as the cup and saucer where kids like to have a splash around in the summer.
