National Zoological Park, Delhi

We had a wonderful experience at the National Zoological Park in Delhi. It is a fantastic place to take kids, with spacious enclosures, plenty of greenery, and a wide variety of animals to explore. The walking paths are well laid out, and the overall environment feels safe and family friendly. One important tip is to reach early in the morning. The zoo is quite large, and if you arrive late, you may feel rushed trying to see everything. Starting early gives you enough time to enjoy each enclosure comfortably and makes the visit much more relaxed and enjoyable. Overall, it is a great day out for families with children.

It was a nice experience overall, though the place could be cleaner as people throw water bottles around. There is an option to book a small safari-type car to explore the whole zoo if you don’t want to walk, which is quite convenient. The most amazing and funny part was the monkeys—there were a lot of them roaming freely around the zoo. They kept asking for ice cream and even snatched it from people, which was both surprising and entertaining.

Visited Delhi Zoo and spent around 3.5 hours exploring. The zoo is quite large with a good variety of animals. Some enclosures appeared well maintained and a few animals seemed well cared for, while others, such as the tiger, looked underfed or tired, which affected the overall impression. Parking was easy to find, and the premises were fairly organized for visitors. My child enjoyed parts of the visit, but overall the experience felt average. It is a reasonable option for a family outing, but the visit could be improved with better animal care and enhanced maintenance.

Recently visited this place with my junior 9yrs. Had lot of fun, walked for hours, spotted so many wild animals and beasts. We can also take battery vehicles to avoid walking much. Apart from wildlife you get so many parks, monuments to see, cool points to have food & beverages. It was all together a good experience. Avoid going on Friday as it’s closed.

It was fun and knowledge filled experience. One thing that was a bit surprising was the bear enclosure, their favourite food was listed as “nectar and fish” while they were being fed fruits. I hope their diet is being managed properly behind the scenes for their health and wellbeing. Overall, it's a wonderful place worth visiting!

It really feels like a calm pause button in the middle of a busy city. Walking through the wide green paths, watching animals up close, and hearing more birds than horns is oddly refreshing. It’s not flashy, but it’s peaceful, educational, and quietly beautiful. A perfect place to slow down, observe nature, and spend a relaxed few hours away from Delhi’s chaos 🦌🌿
