Highly recommended for walking trails. There are restaurants/bars along the trails that are very beautiful and at great lookout points to take a break. Very beautiful river along the shorter easier trail as well, great place to take pictures. Parking is paid, but not too expensive for Germany.

Königssee to Obersee and Röthbach Waterfall • Difficulty: Moderate • Distance: 10 km (round trip) • Elevation Gain: 200 meters Starting with a boat trip on Königssee to Salet, the hike continues along the tranquil Obersee to Röthbach Waterfall, the highest waterfall in Germany. Majestic mountain ranges and beautiful views to meadows and lakes in this area. Beautiful trails along the Hintersee lake. Great hiking in the mountains with spectacular views. Terrific St. Sebastian church in Ramsau by the river Ramsauer Ache. Parking everywhere difficult and expensive. Locals are not always happy with so many tourists visiting the area.

This is probably the best park I have ever visited! The nature is incredible 😍 The lake is very clear, lots of people were swimming there. The water seemed too cold for me (late August), but the view is really amazing! There is private parking next to it, boat rentals (12€ per hour) and hotels with restaurants 👍🏻 My recommendation! ❤️

The view from the top was so amazing. It‘s like in heaven. So blue green and colorful. If you’re a tourist from another country. You should visit this place, it’s near from Austria and still part of Germany 🇩🇪

Hiked to the Eagles Nest. Hike was a grind, but the view is indescribable. We are still sore, but it was the highlight of the trip. Highly Recommend.

Beautiful national park. Nice ride on the lake - one of the cleanest lakes in Europe. Nice walk to a small lake and beautiful nature all around. Near the park is an eagle's nest which is also worth a visit.

I have been to many places in Germany but I can argue that Nationalpark Berchtesgaden is one of the most beautiful places, if not the most beautiful place, in Germany. Königssee is a banger with many hiking trails around. You can also climb the mountain Jenner which is also beautiful as well, which I did when it snowed! (Even better). Definitely a place that I would recommend to anyone to visit.
