"There are a lot of glamping options in Tulum, but Nativus offers premium accommodations with access to a natural crystalline cenote. From the main area of the hotel, you'll find tents, a small restaurant, and a winding jungle path that will take you to the huge El Cenote Encantada, an open cenote where you can swim, kayak, and paddleboard. The cenote is not private, but it's hard to reach and find if you're not accessing it through a local business, so it doesn't get very crowded."

We stayed 2 nights in January 2023.|It’s a camping in the middle of the jungle of Tulum. The environment is peaceful and calm. The staff is very helpful but almost none speaks English. We paid 160 us dollars per night in a super touristic place and we wanted to be understood from the staff!!|In any case the first night we stayed at the tent number 1 which is the first one, just behind the reception desk and in front of the breakfast area which means no privacy at all. If you can, avoid it. The second day they moved us to the tent number 5 which was far better (we asked for it). The tents are spacious but they need some improvement. The mattresses are super good. They don’t have A/C (as they say at their website) but they have 2 big fans in each tent which are super helpful!|In general there is no noise at the property.|You have to know that each bathroom is private but it’s totally outside so if it rains, you get wet!|The water is salty, I guess they take it from the sea.|The Wi-Fi works fine. The electricity goes on and off many times in the day. Not for long but for few minutes each time.|The breakfast is good quality but very small portion. Only one plate with some fruits and few yogurt or a toast with ham and cheese. Of course tea or coffee.|Parking is available outside in the road but you have to find it, it’s not from the property.|Finally, it’s kind far from the zona hotelera, around 20 minutes drive!!|The private Cenote is amazing. It’s like a dream!|In general it’s an adventure. If you like adventures, dive into it!|Hope to help you choose!! :)

A unique stay that did not disappoint. You are sleeping in a big tent but totally secure from the outside. The room has everything you’d need during a trip. The bathroom was one of my favorite part of the room it felt like you were really out in the nature. The shower was amazing, I’ve never experienced a stay like that. The staff was welcoming and assisted us in all of our needs.

First of all - I am a little late with the review as we have been there in March 2020, but we are often coming back to the memories from this beautiful place. We have been there for only 4 days, but the stay was amazing and we really didn't want it to end. If you are afraid of staying and sleeping in tent, you shouldn't! Bed was really comfy, tent had everything what you need including air fan, to decrease the temperature. Bathroom in the fresh air under beautiful sky was terrific. Nature on the glamping area was beautiful and you have an access to the cenote with a platform for those who like to jump straight to the water. You can rent paddle boards for free. Breakfast was tasty, but might be a little more varied. Staff was extremely helpful and they were always there if you needed them. ||||I would recommend staying in Nativus to everyone!

Glamping in the jungle! Nice accommodation and outdoor bathroom / shower (although in it can rain ;)) The "house-cenote" is beautiful and a must see (even if you are not staying here).||||Very friendly staff and super nice breakfast. The staff is very helpful for vegan options. This meant a lot for us as vegans.||||They have a nice cat (Ak) and dog (Luna) :D||||If you want to go to Tulum beach but just be away from the busy noise and crowds this is your place. I'm 1.88m, the tent was large enough for me and the bed is very comfortable too.

We stayed at Nativus for a week. If you like rustic, it's perfect. We loved the Cenote, and we went in it at least once a day, which made us feel like we really got our moneys worth. The breakfasts were a highlight, lots of delicious fruit, croissants, eggs and coffee! The staff are so friendly. There is no ac in the tents but the fans work just fine. The location is a short walk to the beach. The food in the area is a little more expensive than we thought it would be, but you can travel further up to Tulum for more options.

We stayed at Nativus Glamping because the prices in Tulum were crazy, and we were looking for something more authentic. I am so glad we found this place. Nativus Glamping is an oasis of peace, with a stunning private cenote in the ‘backyard’, and the loveliest staff. Staying in the glamping tents was comfortable; clean and no animals, comfortable bed, fans and a complete bathroom in the open air which also added to the magical experience. Nativus is in the South-end of the beach, which is more relaxed, without the over-the-top crazy music around, and surrounded by classy resorts (which cost a lot more per night!). Would recommend it to anyone.||||Most of all I want to thank Vero, the lovely manager of Nativus. I had a medical emergency while staying at Nativus and had to get care in Cancun. She immediately informed the staff to give me anything I should need. Then she helped me by calling every hospital in Cancun, until she arranged an appointment for me, which I could never have done on my own (not speaking Spanish). She showed such true interest in me and checked in on me every time she saw me. With her help, I got the care I needed just in time for my return flight. To me, a person like her in such a moment is priceless! She (and her dog) brings a smile on your face every day with her flair, great energy and loving care for guests.

Wanted to test out something a bit more rustic after a few days in a beachfront hotel. Here is the quick + and - of Nativus as we experienced it. All in all, it was... fine. For the price there are far better options in the area. We stayed in tent 2.||+|The staff is awesome. Super friendly and helpful.||The tents are actually really neat and the fans do plenty to keep you cool overnight. ||The cenote is a nice little oasis.||Breakfast was fantastic!||The beach access across the road is great, and honestly, we spent most of our time at the beach club of the hotel across the road. It was pretty sketchy walking back at night though. Zero lights on the road. ||-|The property is next to a construction site on one side, and it’s nowhere near completion. I suspect you’re looking at a lot of heavy machinery, hammering and yelling for the foreseeable future. It was difficult to ease into relaxing with the beeps of heavy machinery. ||The other neighboring property has some very vocal dogs. Like... 11PM - 4AM and 6AM - 9AM constant barking. It sounds like they’re crated and don’t really agree with that. We barely slept at all. ||The property seems a little run down, sadly. The main structure to hang, read etc has a wall blown out, matter carpet and soggy pillows. None of the “zen” elements were lit/maintained during our visit. The paddle boards were cool, but the handles were ripped and the boards were under inflated without paddles. Bummer.||The generator that runs the property is super loud and it’s struggling. The lights pulse (bright|To dim) and the fans basically “rev” all night. This also impacted the shower’s hot water which would lose power and tithe water flow would stop completely. ||The cenote is by no means private. We counted 5 other docks that backed up to it and one was full of the construction workers one day blasting music on a speaker. ||The bikes are no longer free. $100 for 12hr or $200 for 24hr. |||

I was very impressed by this oasis in the jungle! When we first pulled up to the door, I though “Oh no! What have we gotten into! “ But how wrong I was! Behind the shabby door is an absolute oasis! So gorgeous and meticulously maintained! The tents are large and luxurious! The king sized beds are so nice and comfortable. Every tent has its own outdoor bathroom attached and they are so pretty. The private cenote is huge. Much bigger than I expected. Breakfast is included and prepared by the sweetest ladies. It was so good! I am so glad I experienced Nativus Glamping in Tulum! It was definitely a highlight of my trip to the Riviera Maya!
