NATRAJ PANI PURI

If you want an amazing roadside pani puri experience without worrying about hygiene, this stall from the 1950s is run by the third generation proprietor who knows what he's doing. Apparently this small stall is quite well known in bombay.

I had matar he charged 80 rupees which was too much with so less quantity. There were bunch of students standing pani puris and he charged them 70 rupees with 5 pani puris. It was exorbitant. I gave him 60 rupees not 80 rupees. The quantity was so less and though he claimed it was hygienic which it may be but 3 teaspoons of only matar with 80 rupees cost is not worth it. Now he would write or some proxy person will write that oh! You did not pay for the matar. I do not think this pani puri wala would leave anyone without paying. I had been having matar from him and 3 months back he just charged 50 rupees. Such stalls die a very natural death when they start overcharging. Iam ready to pay 80 rupees if the quantity served is good . The reason for writing this review is no standardised price. He should put the board stating the price so we are aware how much he intends to charge. But why he doesn’t do that , if more people flock his stall he raises his price. I have never had a matar at 80 rupees with just a tiny quantity. Colaba market serves double the quantity in just 40 rupees.

Our experience at Natraj Pani Puri was, unfortunately, not as pleasant as we had hoped. We tried the pani puri and ragada pattice, and the total bill came to ₹150. While the puri quality was good, the spicy water lacked the expected kick, and the sweet water wasn’t tangy enough to balance the flavors. The ragada pattice had a slightly bitter taste, which was disappointing. However, the masala puri served at the end was quite flavourful and stood out in an otherwise average experience. We had high expectations, especially after seeing the crowd at the stall and watching the review on Aaj Khane Mein Kya Hai YouTube channel, but overall, it didn’t quite live up to the hype.

Highly expensive and over-rated...Not at all recommended. Much better tastes available across Mumbai at reasonable price.
