Natsume Soseki Former Residence, in Kumamoto, exhibits certain publications of Natsume Soseki [1867-1916], the famous Japanese writer, poet, and commentor, when he lived in Kumamoto and was a high school teacher between 1896 and 1900. It also explored the relations between Natsume Soseki and Kumamoto and how Natsume Soseki was affected by his living in Kumamoto, etc.
The Residence is well maintained, clean, and is free of admission for entrance.
