Google
Amazing experience at the Natural Bridge Caverns! We visited on a weekend in December, did the Discovery Tour (which is best if you’re visiting the Caverns for the first time). It’s about 60-70 min experience. A good amount of walking, steps, incline, can get wet on the ground too. So bring comfortable sneakers. It’s an experience for all ages! Our guide Maddy (Maddie?) was awesome and energetic! Thank you! - recommend buying tickets online to reserve your preferred time slot. Otherwise, you’ll risk waiting there, could get lucky or if it’s super busy you might be waiting for a while. - Parking is about $10, paid through a QR code online and info is posted in the parking lot. I take 1 star off just because of how they start off with making the tour guide take group pics of everyone at the beginning of the tour. They keep it relatively efficient, but why have everyone line up in a tight, claustrophobic area waiting for people to take their photos? If they had another employee dedicated to taking photos for those who only actually want to purchase one, that would be better. I get the business tactic behind it though.

Google
The place was good. I had to wait around two hours due to the public holiday. It is more kid friendly as there are playing stuffs for them. There are resturants along with adequate parking space. Ticket is needed to go to the cave. The total trip is around 30-45 min within the cave as they pass information along the way. The lighting in the place was good enough to take photos. It would be better if it was there all the time. For me, it is one time visit.

Google
Great tour to do with kids and family if you are in the San Antonio area. The tickets are a bit expesive so try to book online or get coupons from local hotels to save some bucks. The tours are narrated and well guided. Very cool cave with good walking trails and handrails. The cave is not cold but wear good shoes with grip. Outside also lot of activities and maze for kids. Parking is plenty but they will charge about 11 usd with tax

Google
I recently visited Natural Bridge Caverns, and it was an amazing experience. The place is very organized, clean, and well-maintained. The guided tour takes you deep into the caverns, where you get to see incredible rock formations, clear pools, and beautiful natural details that were formed over thousands of years. The walking paths are safe and easy to follow, but the humidity is high, so it’s good to be prepared. The tour guides are knowledgeable and explain everything in a simple and engaging way. There are also fun activities outside the caverns like the maze, gem mining, and the ropes course, which makes it a great spot for families and kids. Overall, Natural Bridge Caverns is definitely worth visiting — educational, unique, and a beautiful nature experience you don’t want to miss.

Google
Natural bridge caverns are really great. We did a discovery tour that lasted around 1 hr 30 mins. Got to know the history and scientific process for the formation of these rocks. It was a great experience looking at the stalagmite and stalactite formation and going deep around 60 meters. Will definitely recommend. There are other near by activities as well for kids and adults.

Google
Nature preserved, learnt lots from your guide Jacob. It was a great experience for the family. Kids were scared but the tour guide made it a fun experience! The light show was amazing. We only did the shorter route and took the BAT up! When the kids are older we'll go back and walk the other route.

Google
Excellent all natural cavern experience. Family friendly, but a bit physically challenging with all the stairs and conveyor belt. There are two separate tours each just over an hour and definitely worth it. The park is laid out beautifully and there's some extra stuff for kids to do in and around the area, a small playground and walking paths. The tours are guidrd and start at specific times so be prepared to wait, and they charge $10 for parking on top of the entrance fee. 😡

Google
Beautiful cave. Katie at ticket front is wonderful, I have some problems but she help me fixing it. It hot inside the cave so dress properly. GOOD SNEAKER IS A MUST! WET FLOOR!!! Overall it a fun experience for the kids. Groupon have a good discount on ticket. In sum, it a beautiful cave and service. I will be back next time. I recommend do discover tour for the first time

Yelp
We really enjoyed the tour! Our tour guide was so knowledgeable about the history of the caverns. Honestly I wish it was longer just so I could spend more time inside the caverns and learning about them. Definitely would recommend since it's a short drive from San Antonio! We paid about $35 per person. Groupon sometimes has deals so I would check that out before buying! Make sure to wear some athletic shoes and bring some water. It's not a difficult 'hike' but there are steep hills and some stairs that may not be ideal for everyone.

Yelp
First time! It was a nice break to escape from the TX heat by hiding underground. We got tickets the day of, but if you buy in advance, you can get them on sale. Make sure to save your tickets in advance. It's difficult to find signal down there. You may not be able to pull up the tickets from your email, but they can still look you up by using your email. Arrive a bit earlier to check-in. They have different tours-we did the newest Hidden Wonders tour. This is perfect if you are just wanting to stroll and not do anything too physical. Don't need any gear, but do recommend closed toe shoes. There's a guide who explains what you are looking at as you go through the cavern. The tour is a little over an hour. Love looking at the stalagmites and stalactites. Really cool! I really liked riding the B.A.T. (Conveyer system ride) on the way out instead of walking all the way. You have to step on it naturally. If you hold on to the handrail while stepping onto it, it's easy to fall.

Yelp
Finally made it to Natural Bridge Caverns and did the St. Mary's Adventure Tour which was a great one. I'd highly recommend you do this tour which uses ropes, you get a little muddy and hang over a 30-ft hole. Shoutout to Amy and Zach, the best tour guides, for a wonderful experience! I'd want to do the Hidden Wonders tour next time or the other adventure one where you get real muddy. I'd recommend you book in advance.

Yelp
Been here a couple of times years apart. They do large group tours and takes about 1 hour to walk through the passages. Very humid, somewhat chilly/cool, but with the ups and downs, some people may need to be in condition to walk these caverns. They're pretty neat to look at, knowing they've bn there for thousands of years is amazing history to partake in. Had lunch before the tour started, they prep food on the spot so be prepared to wait. Also it gets busy. Food took about 10-15 mins to make and it was piping hot. Servers call out the order, they don't bring to your table, fyi. They have a store with all kinds of trinkets and toys. All in all a good experience!

Yelp
WOW! Visited San Antonio recently and decided to spend the day at the Natural Bridge Caverns ... and can you say awe-inspiring! This geological wonder was such a great place to explore. I was also surprised to learn that this is one of the largest commercial caverns in the state. The journey through the caverns and all the breathtaking formations will blow you away! You get a guided tour which lead us through a labyrinth of stalactites and stalagmites, some millions of years old, each with its own unique shape and story. The guides provide insightful commentary, sharing the geological history and pointing out notable formations along the way. One of the highlights of the tour is the beautiful Natural Bridge, which is a massive limestone formation that spans an impressive length, serving as a reminder of the caverns' ancient origins. As we navigated the winding paths, we were able to take in the amazingly stunning views and took some cool photos! But when you are done exploring the caverns, Natural Bridge Caverns also offers additional attractions, including gem mining, zip-lining, and a maze, providing entertainment for visitors of all ages. There is an on-site gift shop which offers a variety of souvenirs and geological items which was helpful in allowing us to take a little part of our experience home. If you are in San Antonio, Natural Bridge Caverns is a must-visit! I don't think you have to be a nature enthusiast or history buff to enjoy. If you are simply looking for a unique experience, why not venture into the depths of the earth and marvel at the millions of years upon you!

Yelp
Had a fantastic time. Our family 2 adults and 2 high schoolers thoroughly enjoyed our visit. I can't believe we had never been here before. The park was beautiful in the spring and they just opened a new cave tour a year ago. The new cave was easier to navigate than the original cave. The original cave was a bit challenging especially if you are over 6 foot tall. We bought tickets for both caves. I liked the new one the best but the rest of my family liked the original one. Both were great. If cost is a concern, either would be great. The team members were very knowledgeable and helpful. So if you are down here for floating down the river or dining in Gruene, go here! It is totally worth the trip. The adventure park is for younger kids. We skipped it.

Yelp
The last time I hosted these caverns was when I was a kid probably 15-20 years ago. I'm glad to see that the tours still exist so that I could take my own kids! The entire cavern experience has been brought up to a new level. The climbing park and food establishments at the back are very impressive upgrades. The tickets are a bit pricey but I figure we won't be doing this again anytime soon. We almost missed our tour due to traffic while driving in from Austin. When I called to ask about rescheduling, the staff were very nice and explained that I could be rescheduled once I arrived. This was nice considering we'd spent so much money ahead of time with online tickets. The tour itself was nice and fairly well paced. Because I had a 5&3 year old with me I almost wished we finished sooner! Fair warning though that it can be quite strenuous, especially near the end when it's almost a completely uphill climb. The water can also make things tricky as you descend down the caverns, even with paved walkways. My 5 yr old managed the whole thing but we did have to carry the 3 yr old most of the way.

Yelp
This was a great time. You can go into the caverns and explore and see so many minerals that are under your feet. Another fun thing is that you can buy mineral kits and sift through them with these of their water stations and "mine for gold" and find all the cool things hidden in your mineral kit. The kits weren't too expensive .. they go from small to very large but you're guaranteed to get "something". We had a fun time. This place would be great for groups and tours as well. Lemonade was also really good!

Yelp
10/28/23 1PM. DISCOVERY TOUR We've been to many caves throughout the country. This was the first cave that we experienced humidity versus it being cooler throughout our descent into the cave. There are quite a few diverse formations throughout the cavern and it is not isolated to one particular area. Beautiful. Beautiful. Beautiful. STEEP is the word the guide mentioned over and over again...and IT IS! If you have asthma or other medical problems be prepared. The path is quite wet and using the guard rails is a must. There was an older woman that almost didn't make it. I could see if you have a toddler and you need to carry them, you'll feel it if you're not in shape. The guide did assess everyone throughout to see if they were all right. There are no restrooms on the approximately 1 hr tour. As we made our way out there was a water fountain that you could taste the cavern water. GUESTS: Please be mindful of others in your group. You're asked to stick together, There are photo opportunities for your group to take a few pics...but not a photo shoot. Then everyone gets a chance. You have to be quick as there's usually another group right behind you. TALKING should be kept at a minimum so everyone can hear the guide. There were also activities for Halloween where the kids could walk around in their costumes and trick or treat for candy. There was also live music. It was a nice half day visit!

Yelp
Wow, this place has changed so much in 7-8 years! We were here few years ago there wasn't much to do other than the cave tour. Now they have plenty of activities and couple of tours as well We bought our tickets for discovery tour for saturday at the location, price was same as online. Online there is 4.50 fee you can avoid buying at the location. Maze is 6$ per person if you buy with tour or 12$ later on. We loved the tour, kids enjoyed the maze. Tour gets strenuous as some locations and people with knee troubles should avoid. Overall a great experience!

Yelp
Highly recommend you check this place out. Our guide was super cute and very informative. It took an hour to get through and it went by fast. First cave that I have gone through, and I was amazed by what I saw. You can order tickets ahead of time, we tried as we were getting closer but nothing was available. Thankfully they had groups leaving about every 10 minutes or so so if you don't buy tickets ahead of time, don't fret. They do have a waiting area and some sort of jungle play for the kids as well. There are two options for the tour that you can take. One had a light show at the end, and the other is a simple tour, in and out of
google avatar

Yelp
Very fun experience. Our guide was a very young lady who is knowledgeable about the caverns. I felt bad for her because some people in our tour were very rude to her. But I think she did a great job. I think her name was Kyrie. I think it was worth the entrance fee. Next time, we will try the other cavern.

Yelp
I read about this place in a Thrillist article and while out in TX I decided to make the 4 hour drive up to the San Antonio area to visit. The grounds for the caverns are huge! They have all kinds of stuff there. There is a gift shop of course. A cafe with beer! There is also a small kids amusement park! I went with the package to see both cavern tours on the property. The tour was excellent and a good length! They have cool lighting which the guides can control from their phones. Definitely worth the trip out to see!!!

Yelp
We had a wonderful experience as we took both the Discovery and Hidden Passages (Before it became Hidden Wonders) Tour. Our tour guide was Haley who did a fantastic job taking us through the history of the caverns. With so much to do at Natural Bridge Caverns for families, this destination should be added to everyone's itinerary when visiting San Antonio. You can see more of our visit on our travel channel: https://youtu.be/OYCaOJ0u7wY

Yelp
This was one of the most amazing caverns I've been to. I like that it is family owned and operated. I did the discovery tour and that is currently $27-30 depending on what day of the week you go. It's an hour long so I recommend wearing good sneakers. It's about 70 degrees inside the cavern. Our tour guide was very informative and knowledgeable. If you're not in shape, disabled, or an older adult, I would skip this as it can get strenuous at times. If you think you can do it, then all the more power to you.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I are fans of anything that involves either learning something new and/or doing some physical activity, so this place caught our eye as a place to visit when we were thinking of something to do while we waited for our check-in time for our airbnb. It was def worth it! This place is a little northeast of San Antonio, and going in another pathway actually takes you to the Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch. After going down the winding road, you'll reach the parking lot, where there are plenty of parking spots available. When you enter the main entrance, you just need to turn to your left, and the ticket counter is right there. We opted in getting the combo tour, which is the discovery and hidden passages tours together, and it ended up about being $117 for the both of us. They do offer other tours, but some of them are for certain dates so def check on those if you were interested. Both of the tours took about an hour or so each; however, the main difference that I found from the tours was that the hidden passages tour comprises of mostly stairs, so please keep this in mind when choosing. I would also advise to bring comfortable shoes with good traction as the pathways do get slippery. We actually came right after it rained, so there was even more puddles formed during our tour. Luckily, our group didn't have any falls, and both tour guides were informative and accommodating. Both tours were filled with lots of interesting information about how the caverns were formed, and we even got to see some real geology majors from UT collecting samples from the stalagmites and stalactites! They explained how they've been collecting samples to correlate the environment in the cavern to the outside world.

Yelp
Juice is not worth the quiz. We arrived for the 11 am tour and quickly realized it was a very large group; maybe 50 or so people with one tour guide. With such a large group it was tough to observe the caverns, avoid those around us and get pictures while trying not to fall during the steep decents and inclines. At the beginning of the tour, a lot of time is wasted on group pictures. As we roamed through the tour guide would share information but it was tough hear most because the group was too large and often had side conversations going. When you arrive at the end of the cavern tour, be prepared for the long walk which remains once outside. This was brutal for us because it was 100 degrees outside. Also, you will find a stand selling your group picture for $20.

Yelp
This was our first time visiting the Natural Bridge Caverns and the experience was truly amazing !! We really felt like "Indiana Jones " or "Aladdin" :D ! We have never seen staligmites and calcified formations quite like these :) ! Initially, when we entered, it was damp and cool inside. But as you walk, you warm up really easily ! We still brought plenty of water to drink in case we got thirsty because you do have to walk quite a bit. There were 2 tours: the Discovery Tour (which was best for first-timers and less physical and strenuous), and the Hidden Passages tour (which was more physical, strenuous and challenging). If you really want to, you can do the combination package, which is both tours. But we just decided to do the Discovery Tour ! If you are strong and much more physically fit, you can see more with the Hidden Passages tour because you can get further into crevices and nooks within the caverns that you can't see with the Discovery Tour. But you have to be able to go down 185 feet and walk all the way back up. My sister was tempted to try the Hidden Passages one . I told her she was more than welcome to! But I know my physical limit all too well and don't want to chance it! I just don't want to get stuck and have to be rescued! Our tour guide, Ryan, was really knowledgeable and made our Discovery tour experience pleasant and memorable :) ! Interestingly, we found out that this past Sun (4/30) when we visited was the last day of the Hidden Passages tour. They are revising it and it is being renamed as the Hidden Wonders tour, which will open May 12 :) . It is pretty much the same tour as Hidden Passages, except the main difference is that the Wonders tour will have an easier exit out of the caverns compared to the Passages tour. Even for the Discovery Tour, certain paths are a little slippery (because of the water dripping from above) and some stairways are steep. You just really have to wear great sneakers or shoes with strong and firm soles, and really hold onto the railing so you don't slip and fall. But quite frankly, if someone unathletic like myself can handle the Discovery tour, anyone can :D ! Outside the caverns, there are also other activities that you can engage in, whether you come solo or in a group. Twisted Trails is practically an outdoor playground for kids and adults to go zip lining ! We also happened to be there during the weekend of the Total Archery Challenge , so we saw a lot of hardcore archerers there as well ! There was a sister and brother musical duet performing, so you can sit back, relax and enjoy some soothing music :) ! There is also a store area where you can pan for gemstones :) ! On your downtime, you can also play bean bag toss! And if you like mazes, you can try to the maze and see if you can figure out how to get to all four posts to spell out the word "calf" :D !

Yelp
It's really quite a neat experience. Absolutely beautiful. I've done the traditional tour and have enjoyed it 3 times or so over the course of my time in San Antonio. They now have a new tour that is apparently a bit more stairs. It came out to about $70 for two, which is a bit expensive but I felt the tour was very interesting, informative, and over all better than a movie. Staff is mostly young people, but everyone was nice. There is some beer and wine available there too, but I'm not paying $9 for a shiner. Just enjoy the intoxicating beauty of the cave and the Texas hill country. A word to the wise, it is a bit of a physical challenge at parts of the tour, but plenty of breaks are provided.
google avatar

Ann L.

Yelp
I am from East coast, if you haven't been in any cavern, you'll be very impressed, but if you have been at Luray cavern in VA, expect a little less. That's just my opinion...

Christiana L.

Yelp
Beautiful caves that were larger and more amazing than expected. The facility is beautiful, flowers everywhere, lots to do and a really great day to spend the day as a couple or with the family. We went on a weekend so there were no crowds to deal with.

Yelp
Definitely a must see! Very easy to book online, we opted for a combo tour- The Hidden and Discovery Tour. Parking was plentiful, easy, and accessible. The park was well manicured and beautifully landscaped.. just a tip, pls label the plants/trees, I wouldn't mind having some in my garden. One fam member in our group could not attend the tours unfortunately, but they gave us a refund without us even asking. A plus in my book! There are a few gift shops and food/snack stands throughout the park. Waiting areas for the tours have bench seating and large fans for airflow. Noticed a large structure for zip lining etc and a maze - both are extra that you could add to your tours if you wanted. We started off with the Hidden tour. Btw, at the start of each tour, the guide will take photos of your group, which will be up for view/purchase, no obligation, afterwards. Our Hidden guide seemed brand new, she had a little trouble with the material, her mic was not working, and it was hard to hear her unfortunately. The tour was just ok, I think we could have easily gone without booking this tour. Not memorable. We had an hour break before the Discovery Tour. Browsed a gift shop and ate hot dogs : ) The Discovery tour was awesome! Our tour guide was fabulous- I believe his name was Joshua. Lots of amazing and beautiful formations to see on this tour! Book it for sure. I believe it took about an hour and a half. The caves temps are in the 70s - wear cool clothing and good walking shoes. You may, as they say, get a few kisses ( water drops) from the caves as you walk through. Take lots of pics, there are many opportunities. Had a wonderful day exploring!

Yelp
Our family trip to the Nature Bridge Caverns was an amazing experience. I highly recommend visiting for anyone that has the opportunity. I purchased tickets for the Discovery Tour online. We were slightly late but the employee at the ticket counter was very helpful with having our tour time changed to the next available. The tour guide was very friendly and was very knowledgeable about the cave. He provided tons of educational information and was very patient with giving everyone on the tour time to take videos and photos. I was able to capture so many beautiful photos and videos. There are plenty of hand rails to assist with walking in the steep and wet areas on path. They take a photo for you that can be purchased for $26.99 at the end of the tour. We visited one of the two restaurants while we were there which offers hamburgers, cheeseburgers, chicken sandwiches, chicken strips, fries, grilled cheese, brisket, slushies, sodas, coffee, beer, wine, and popcorn. There are two stores to purchase a variety of different souvenirs. There is also a restaurant/sweet/ brew shop that offers, pizza, ice cream, sweets, and beer and wine. Every employee we encountered provided great customer service.

Yelp
We were visiting San Antonio from San Diego i booked this on the Go City app honestly didn't expect much but this was a great tour. The cavern are ginormous! I was concerned about my 79 yr old mom being able to do this but the handrails enabled her to enjoy this with us. Very cool place I highly recommend!

Yelp
Super fun experience! The tour guide was great ! Definitely a unique experience. The walking is worth the amazing pictures you get of this memory .

Yelp
You won't be disappointed. So much to do- even one day will feel rushed. Beautiful and clean and safe property with natural and added fun.

Yelp
Fun place to take the family. You will learn something about bats that you did not know before. Be prepared for the smell. Great experience.

Yelp
We did the discovery tour & this was the best tour I've been on! Such a beautiful cave. The exterior is full of greenery. Cave was about 45 min from downtown SA. Highly recommend coming here but wear non slip shoes! I forgot mine & had to wear slides.
google avatar

Peter X.

Yelp
If you're in the San Antonio or Austin area I would recommend driving by and checking this attraction out. The photos don't do this place justice; you have to see first hand of the beauty of the natural underground caverns. For first comers, I recommend the Discovery tour which is a 45 min guided tour into the main parts of the caverns. Temperature inside the caverns is about 70 degrees with 99% humidity, so it feels about 80 degrees, so dress accordingly. You can bring a water bottle inside but no flavored drinks. It can be slippery inside so wear comfortable shoes that have good traction. Your experience also kind of depends on the group you get put into. Our group had some crying babies and people that don't listen to instructions so that ruined part of the tour.
google avatar

Heather S.

Yelp
This was my first time visiting since I was a kid! And it was so cool! Super informative. The workers are very knowledgeable of their job! Very humid inside the cave. Uncomfortable at moments but the views and interesting facts to get you by! My 4 year old niece was able to do it and so I suggested you take yours to! The zip lines were worth it as well!
google avatar

Huong E.

Yelp
Definitely worth the experience. Great educational tour. The floors do get wet and slippery so I would encourage hiking shoes. Not recommend for disability or strollers. They have a new light show which was a really neat experience. After the tour, there is a ton of other activities to do, there is a maze, a train ride, and obstacle/zip line you can participate in for additional fees.
google avatar

Yelp
On a trip to San Antonio, we stopped by Natural Bridge Caverns. It's on the outskirts of San Antonio so expect a drive. I've checked out a couple of caverns or caves over the years and it's always a treat. There are a couple of different tours and we purchased tickets for a group of five ahead of time at a specific time slot. Once you arrive, parking is easy. The tour lasted around an hour or so and our tour guide did a great job touching on the history of the caverns, how they were formed, fun facts, etc. Make sure to take pictures while you're there---the caverns are breathtaking. The two different tours take you to different parts of the caverns. I'd definitely return to try the other tour!
google avatar

Allyson W.

Yelp
We did the new tour that they offer and it was a only four of us. I hadn't been since I was a little girl so it was nice to see how much it had changed and all the improvements. We added on the maze at the end and have so much fun doing that. It took a couple hours to do the tour and maze so perfect on a nice day. They have places to eat, shop and explore. Zip lining as well and a dinosaur area for the kids. A must see if you are traveling to the San Antonio area!

Yelp
Simply stunning. Texas Hill Country has a plethora of caverns and Natural Bridge Caverns is the largest of this bunch in the state. This was discovered by some college kids in 1960 when they asked to explore Mrs. Clara Wuest's land. It's called Natural Bridge Caverns because there is a natural rock bridge above the entrance of the caverns. The Discovery tour covers the first main room discovery and the Hidden Passages tour covers another area that was found later after further exploring. Each tour runs about 45-50 minutes and if you want to do both tours they do put at least a 30 minute break between your two tours. I opted for the combo which included both cavern tours. Allow 2.5 -3 hours if you want to do both tours. Discovery Tour - If you only have time for one tour, do the Discovery tour. It shows you the crawl hole where the guys first squeezed themselves through and has more rooms and runs a little longer than the Hidden Passages tour. What do you need to know? It is hot and a bit humid. It might be 45 degrees outside, but inside the cavern is always hanging around 80 degrees. You should wear good walking shoes, preferably rubber soled. There are some inclines and steps so you will get a little burn in your legs or lungs unless you are a regular hiker. Your guide will explain the history of the caves and give you the creative names of all the different formations (Do you know what a fried egg is?). It is well lit and there are clearly defined paths with handrails. There is always some moisture in the caves and sometimes an active slow drip, so plan your feet protection accordingly. I thought it was all stunning, people of all ages can appreciate this. Hidden Passages Tour - This tour runs maybe 10 minutes shorter than the Discovery tour. Thankfully our guide let us place our jackets down in the hallway before entering the cavern, one less thing to carry while in the steam pot. It has two main areas, the first is a room that is larger than anything you'd see in the Discovery Tour and has you looking down and wide into what seems like an endless pit of stalagmites and stalactites. You walk down, then along a narrow passage and then it brings you to a back second main room. Of all the rooms on the two tours, the first room in the Hidden Passages is the largest and the most impressive. In both tours you will see tons of curtains, ribbons and straws. The longest straw formations are in the Hidden Passages tour because this room was completely sealed off for thousands of years. That means no bats were able to get in and live in here. And even though bats use sonar to navigate, they would still accidentally bump into straws when flying and break them, hence the shorter straw formations in the Discovery tour rooms. Adventure Tours ($130-$170) - If you really want to do some climbing and get down and dirty there are adventure tours that run 2-4 hours long where you put in a spelunker's helmet and light and crawl through crevices and rappel down to get to areas that haven't been opened up to the public for walk through tours. General cavern tours are cheaper if you buy them the day before online. Cavern tours are also cheaper on weekdays vs. weekends. There are numerous gift shops and snack stations onsite. The also have a large rope and zip line structure for adults and other interactive areas for kids. Parking is plentiful and free. The site is 30 minutes north of San Antonio or 45 minutes south of Austin. I bought my tickets at the site and there wasn't a wait to get on a tour on a Sunday afternoon in December. ***Hot Tip - There are coupons in various travel guides that give you a discount on one tour, but if you are doing the Combo package, they will not accept any coupons for that.***

Yelp
We were pretty disappointed with the Natural Caverns experience. The caverns, priced at $25+ per person, fell short of value, and I believe a more reasonable cost would be around $10. The maze, initially deemed at $5.99, should ideally be only $2. The obstacle course, despite its pricing, lacked flexibility as we were denied re-entry after just 45 minutes, limiting the enjoyment for our kids who wanted to revisit after a quick lunch. The food preparation time exceeded 30 minutes, which is unacceptable, and the portion sizes of items like the Philly cheese sandwich did not justify their prices. Overall, the high costs coupled with the various shortcomings make it challenging to recommend a visit to Natural Caverns. We were a family of four and only kids took the ropes. We didnt even buy anything at the shops but the entire expense was $200 that vanished in 2-hours. NOT RECOMMENDED?

Yelp
The price for natural bridge caverns is a little steep, but we really enjoyed our experience as a one time thing! They run tours very frequently and have gift shops and an outdoor adventure experience for before or after your tour. We got a tour just ten minutes after we arrived. Our tour guide was very informative and fun and kept a good pace. I would have loved to slow down and look at everything even more. The caves are a unique experience and I highly recommend them to anyone.

Yelp
Commercial Caverns would be a better name. We have been to SEVERAL caves/caverns in multiple areas of the U.S. Our take on the Caverns themselves at Natural Bridge Caverns were wonderful and we truly enjoyed seeing them. Everything else about the visit left much to be desired. The walkways and paths into and out of the caverns are very nice, be mindful that they're quite steep if you plan to tour. I'm not knocking them for this, just awareness if you plan to visit. The tour itself consists of multiple "tour guides" staged throughout the caverns to elaborate on that portion. Wasn't a bad idea compared to having a single tour guide IMO, BUT...... THEY NEED TO WAIT ON THE ENTIRE GROUP AND SLOW DOWN WHEN TALKING!!!!!!!! We were towards the latter part of our group, and I honestly don't think I could tell you three sentences from the guides. Again, we really enjoyed the Caverns themselves....everything else was a complete turnoff for us. Overall takeaway is that I felt like I was in a tourist trap with prices comparable to major theme parks. Seemed like we were rushed through so the next herd could get in, get out, and make way for the others. For a family of three to do the combo tour and ropes course it would be nearly $300 dollars........ We WON'T be back! Too many other attractions in the area to go broke here!

Yelp
The Discovery tour I took was crowded and the people were straggling back. I unfortunately was in the second half of the crowd and could not hear the tour guide's talk. More importantly, the LIGHTS WENT OFF BEFORE WE COULD EVEN GET TO SEE THE ATTRACTIONS!!! and there were about a dozen people behind me that also did not get to see it. So there you are stumbling in the dark with wet surfaces trying to find the guard rails. If they are going to operate like this they should be shut down due to safety concerns. I almost fell. Without being able to see the attractions in the light, the tour is totally worthless.

Yelp
This place was definitely something to check out. On a warm summer day with kids or without it's something everyone should see once in there life time. I came and did a double combo pack the Discovery and the hidden. The discovery is really all you need. Much to see able to take lots of pictures. Learn a lot about the things inside. The hidden one was absolutely a waste of money it was super short and lots of stairs like lots of steep wet stairs and barley no where to stop and take a break. You definitely don't need to see this your not missing much. The first one is all You need. They had plenty of other things for kids like zip line and some other stuff. Food and drinks were available. Pizza and drinks

Yelp
We went and did the tour, and while it was fun, the tour group was way too big and you could not hear whenever they were telling you about each area you went to, in the caverns. But overall all the little shops and activities make it a day little day.

Yelp
Last time I visited the Caverns feels like ages ago It caused such a great impression that left me wanting me to come back but this time I came back with my own family..I did not regret returning because I felt it was so much more organized and so much more floor space than last time I'd visited. It does help to use Groupons. We saved a lot of money for using Groupon. They advise tourists to dress in active gear and closed sports shoes for the long walk and steep stairs and walk ways that thankfully have handles. Initially it might feel cold when you walk in the cave but soon you find out how warm and humid it is during the walk. For each rock formation there was a different tour guide that knew anything and everything about the rock formation assigned. Very attentive and knowledgeable. No one was left behind. If you have health issues this is not the place for you. If you are an adventurer and love science. You'll love this place. It's a huge learning experience. Worth every penny of the wonderful experience. Your not allowed to take any drinking water or touch anything in thinking so you don't destroy the natural habitat or pollute the caves. The gift shops are way over priced, of course but they have so much creativity to help you spend money in every which way. The food at the restaurant is decently good tasting for the price but still overpriced. When we went they had a zip line adventure and they had a maze. Everything was fun but we just did the maze because my kids are little and not thrilled with dealing with heights. If you don't mind it than all the better, kudos for you. All in all this is an all day adventure if you decide to do everything in the adventure park. You won't regret it and will have a family adventure to talk about for years to come. Truly unforgettable. Be dressed for adventure and prepared to go early, this place can get packed very quickly. We had a truly epic experience and if you read my reviews, I never say that about anything. Living in San Antonio I feel blessed to have this diamond in the rough nearby to explore any time. You should not miss this opportunity if your visiting San Antonio, TX!

Yelp
THIS PLACE IS INSANE! I've been to so many caves Utah, Kentucky, Nevada, Arizona and I'd say this is my favorite now even over mammoth caves in Kentucky. Yes places like Mammoth caves are larger but this cave has so much character with beautiful natural structures and WATER. I've never seen water like this in a cave before so it was very memorable for me. Our tour guide was awesome and very informative and another plus was the lighting. They way they set it up made it so easy to know what they were talking about in that moment meaning when they were describing a section of the cave it would light up. Seriously this cave was gorgeous though. 10/10 would recommend and go again. It blew my mind!

Yelp
I love caves and caverns and I try to see them if they are available. This cavern was well organized and I would highly recommend people to come see this place.

Yelp
Cool temperature caves that the guides know well. The guides explained what we were seeing and how it formed. All of the staff were helpful and professional.

Yelp
We came to visit my Aunt that recently moved to New Braunfels. She had told us she took my cousin to this really neat place to see the caverns and it was close by. We got our tickets ahead of time at on the website. An adult ticket for the Discovery tour was $30. There are a few tours to choose from and times. If you love learning about history and geology, stalagmites, and lime stone formations you will really enjoy this attraction. It is full of history and the campus is beautiful and clean. The caverns are not the only thing you can do here. There are many different activities for families and little ones. So you will want to be sure and check out all that is available there! The walk inside of the caves are a little steep and wet at times, so you will want to wear good tennis shoes with grip. There are hand rails to hold on to. We went down about 200ft. The walk back up is also a good work out, but very doable! I recommend this place if you are in the area! Worth the visit!

Yelp
I paid $33. It was worth paying. I really enjoyed my caveman's experience. The inside was so beautiful that I had to take a lot of pictures. it was so narrow and steep. Probably, big guys or the elderly over 60 years old may not be fit. I was surprised that I could use WIFI inside! I was not a caveman! I had 21st-century technology! lol.

Yelp
I like the caverns! It's so beautiful inside and it's pretty educational. I'll admit I was worried about a few things. The website said it can be 70 degrees in there. So as someone that gets cold easily I brought a jacket. If you're like me, it wasn't necessary especially with all of the walking. It's wet inside so I was worried I might slip or really need a handrail. I'd say it's not that wet so you should be fine as long as you're wearing proper shoes. You can get wet though as water is constantly dropping down on you in some places. And last we were told it's a pretty strenuous walk inside. Going in isn't bad at all. But getting out is a hike up. Which isn't too bad. Our tour guide was super nice and answered any questions we had. When I say it's beautiful in there I mean it. It's a must see. It's also I nice way to spend the summer to beat the heat. There's tons of parking there too. I would highly recommend going in the morning.

Yelp
The Discovery tour was a lot of fun and a great workout. We had fun going through the different parts of the caves and the guide as great at telling the store.

Yelp
Great service. Great value! Just know that (1)only bottled waters are allowed inside (2)steep climb towards the end (3)Discovery tour package went down about 200ft below natural grid with 200% humidity! Our tour guide BEN made it fun!
