An exceptional resort experience from start to finish. The overall atmosphere of the hotel is simply wonderful — calm, elegant, and perfectly designed for relaxation. The spa facilities are excellent, and the massage services were truly outstanding, providing a deeply relaxing and rejuvenating experience. The dining environment is equally impressive, with a beautiful setting and highly recommended cuisine. Every meal was thoughtfully prepared and absolutely delicious. This hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a luxurious and memorable getaway.

This was our fourth stay and delighted that the hotel is still at the top of its game. The food in general was exceptional and the five course dinner menu in particular keeps throwing up wonderful surprises. We miss the old “chef’s special” mid afternoon service but equally got used to the new arrangements thanks to the warmth and generosity of the staff. We had a charming host for dinner in the Red Salon, Yassin, who made us comfortable and kept us well entertained. Thank you to everyone involved for making it another memorable experience.

We had a wonderful stay at Naturhotel Forsthofgut and would happily return. The hotel itself is beautiful, with a calm, luxurious atmosphere and fantastic facilities. One of the biggest highlights is the location — it’s practically ski-in ski-out, which made getting on and off the slopes incredibly easy and stress-free, especially after a long day of skiing. The spa and wellness areas are outstanding and really elevate the whole experience, making it feel like a true alpine retreat. The rooms were comfortable, well-designed, and spotlessly clean. The only downside was that service during dinner and in the lounge area was a little inattentive. At times it was difficult to get staff attention, which slightly took away from what is otherwise a very high-end experience. Overall though, this is a fantastic hotel in an unbeatable location, and with more consistent service it would be close to perfect.

I don't want to say anything......as I want to keep this secret to myself. We went for a late autumn romantic break. What an amazing hotel. The staff all want to work there. You can see it in their smiles. The owners/managers have trained all their staff as a career. Not a stop gap job. And what a difference it makes. The food is fantastic. Went to the buffet and all three adjoining restaurants for dinner. Outstanding. The thought and care gone into each dish. Again staff fantastic. Activities galore, so much to do. You must go hiking with Claus. What a character. What a genuine person. What knowledgable and enthusiastic person. We thought we made a big mistake going in school half-term for a romantic break. There were children everywhere having fun. However, once again the owners thought this hotel through. Break out places for kids and adults. Not just small places but vast areas of comfort and relaxation. So very well put together. Well done. I've not seen this achieved so well, very unique. Thanks for a great vacation back for the skiing.

Nothing like what the influencers post on social media. Very expensive for our small room. No air conditioning in our room, our room was tiny for how much it cost. Traveled with husband, 2 and 4 year old. Didn’t try out the kids clubs because they looked really full and not sure if children would have wanted to stay. Reached out to hotel several times in advance to book things before our arrival and had no response so everything was full by the time we arrived. Dining was always full and service was slow. Unattended children running everywhere and reckless around smaller children areas. Pools were overcrowded, I was 7 months pregnant while we were there, a child almost jumped right on top of my belly while I was holding my 2 year old son in the pool. The pictures online make it look like a peaceful place but we had the complete opposite experience.

It has been exactly one year today since we visited Naturhotel Forsthofgut. This review is long overdue, but every time sat down to write, I simply could not find the words that appropriately express the incredible time we had & how welcome we felt at this amazing resort nestled in the Alps of such a beautiful country. I won't ramble on but the staff was nothing but extraordinary. Anna, Cecilia and team at reception were warm, welcoming and knowledgeable. They gave us many ideas for daily road trips & exquisite hikes. The restaurant staff went above & beyond to accommodate my many allergies, which was of concern to me when visiting an off-the-beaten path area in Western Europe. They have an entire pantry dedicated to homemade breads, pretzels, muffins, pastries, etc, all carefully noted with allergy information! Raul & Christoph were not only sweet & funny, but went out of their way to make sure we understood all menu options, recommended their favorites, & provide the best wine & Stiegl pours we have ever seen, not to mention, so SO personable! We enjoyed the common dining area so much that we didn't get to explore the on-site restaurants that I'm sure are just outrageous (next time!) & Let's not forget our room. Thinking I was booking a closet down some hall, we were shown to our room upon check-in: an absolutely stunning oasis, with terrace overlooking Stone mountain, with huge bathroom, & the most comfortable bed we have every slept on. This trip was one for the books & we can't thank the staff enough. One year later, we still dream of this trip & hope for another opportunity to visit in the near future.

I strongly dislike leaving negative reviews but I wish someone had warned me before I booked at stay. All in all, I wouldn’t say that I don’t recommend this place, but perhaps adjust your expectations before arrival and note: - there will not be 5-star service, room amenities may not be topped up. If you need something just call in advance and be patient with delivery that can take. Aside from this, rooms are cleaned nicely. - coffee, tea, tap water are up charged for lunch and dinner. - although marketed as all-inclusive, be prepared to tip for lunch and dinner. I recommend tipping. - some items in the lobby don’t have prices, such as the cake bar. Be mindful these are not included, €9 cake slice. - I recommend booking during less busy times for a more relaxed experience. - expect the dinner experience to last about 3 hours and wait up to 30min between courses during high peak period (another reason to book at a later time). - the beds are Japanese-style hard. Take advantage of the pillow menu for better sleep. - seems like a genuinely nice place for children/families, book activities in advance.

This might be the best hotel stay we’ve ever stayed at in our lives. We’re from the US and only found this place because of TikTok, and honestly… it exceeded every expectation.||We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days, and it was the best experience we’ve had at any hotel, in the States or in Europe. The service set the tone right away. Every single person was warm, friendly, and went above and beyond, especially for our anniversary.||The price was very fair for what you get. The food was incredible, and I loved that everything was included without sacrificing quality. Most all-you-can-eat setups kill the quality, but here the brunch was amazing, dinner was a five-course experience, and they even surprised us with a complimentary lunch snack. Everywhere you turned, there was some little extra touch. You pay for drinks and extras if you want, but you can get away with not paying any extra and be 100% full and happy!||Our room was beautiful and the views were unreal. You can literally look straight out at the mountain. The facilities were on another level. Best spa we’ve ever been to. Cleanliness everywhere off the charts. We also loved how you can walk about the entire property in a robe and nobody thinks twice, yet it still has a very professional, classy feel everywhere! 3 or 4 levels of wellness areas, indoor and outdoor pools, hot and cold tubs, saunas, relaxation rooms, daily events… all top quality and run by staff who actually care.||The skiing setup was perfect. Easiest ski-in, ski-out I’ve ever experienced. 2min walk to the lift. Rentals for 2 days for both me and my wife were only around $145 total (sooo nice you can get it all right downstairs in the garage not driving anywhere else!!!), and the lift tickets were about $60 per person. They even give you 1 free ride up and down the lift if you’re not skiing so you can go enjoy lunch at the restaurants at the top. The mountain itself was spectacular, with runs for every level and every age.||What really stood out is that most places only nail 1 thing. Either the spa is great, but the food is average. Or the rooms are nice, but the mountain isn’t ideal. This place hit every single category. Nature, hiking, skiing, spa, food, luxury, service. All of it. And all done at a level I’ve rarely seen anywhere.||We’re already talking about coming back, and we’re recommending it to everyone we know.||So cool to see the history of the family who owns the place as well on the wall.||Our hearts are full. We feel recharged. And we can’t wait to return again someday! Danke schön!
