Naughty Nuri's Ubud

Got suggested to come here by the locals for having the best bbq pork ribs. The food instantly smells good the moment we got out of the car. We ordered the pork ribs, skewers, mi goreng vegetarian, chicken soup and fried banana. The food were overall good. My wife and I thought it would make a good daily hangout food spot. The seasoning and the sauce were great. However, we had to knock it down a point because the pork quality wasn’t as good. Also, the pork were on the overcooked side. Come here for the flavor but don’t expect quality.

We had a great time dining at Naughty Nuri’s in Ubud — the place has a rustic, laid-back vibe that feels more like a local warung than a polished restaurant, which adds to its charm. The pork ribs were the highlight: well-seasoned and flavorful, though they could have been a touch more tender to truly fall off the bone. The sambal sauce was excellent — spicy with a satisfying kick that really elevates the meal. We also tried the beef burger, which was massive and pretty decent overall. Portions are generous, and for the quality and taste, it definitely feels like good value for money. A solid spot to visit if you’re craving hearty, smoky BBQ-style food with an unpretentious vibe.

The ribs were juicy and the marinate tasted so heavenly. Other dishes such as mee goreng and stir fry vegetables were all very nice too. I took a peep into the kitchen behind the cashier, they are super clean and neat. Even when I ask for extra plates, they took the effort to ensure that the plates are dry and clean. I am very impressed by their level of service.

went there with some friends, we ordered 1 veggie dish, 1 rack of ribs and 1 portion of skewer, rice and potato wedges. Good portion, us 3 girls tried our best to finish it, taste divine, recommended. It's better to go there by parking somehwere else, not really parking space, we had to park the car by the side of the road. Good price, about IDR 150K per person. We went there after lunch time, perhaps that's why it wasn't very crowded by then. Anyway, the ribs and skewer were great, recommended for ribs lover..

It is an old restaurant in front of the Nam Art Museum. The meat is average for all ages and genders. There are various choices, such as warm noodles and the signature nasi goreng on a rainy day, especially fried tofu, and the price range is average. The surroundings are dark, taxis are hard to catch, and there is a motorcycle parking facility. Tax is 15%. I recommend this place more than the large restaurants nearby. Go a little early. The food and service are good.

I came across this warung by chance the night we went to dine in Room4Dessert next door and came back to try it out the same week. We were drawn to the smoke in the air and the grilled meat on the charcoal barbecue was tantalizing. The chicken satay was the best I’ve had in a very very long time, well seasoned, with a slightly smoky char, and literally melted in my mouth. The texture varies slightly from one skewer to another as it is cooked in an open flame over a barbecue grill, but most of the skewers were super succulent and unbelievably tender. The chunks of grilled pineapple paired well with the chicken and the slightly sweet hot sauce in the squeezy bottle was very more-ish. After tasting the first portion, we immediately ordered another 6 chicken satay skewers. (We wanted to takeaway two more portions of skewers but they had already sold out by 6.30pm :( ) The pork skewers fell short in comparison and were overcooked, tough, and chewy, but the chicken leg was nicely grilled, succulent, and juicy. I had no problems ordering a car via Grab for pickup and dropoff, and will definitely return next time to try the spare ribs!

The ribs were honestly the best I had ever tasted, whatever marinade is on them is unbelievable. They were cooked perfectly and the meat was so tender. An absolute must if you’re in the area, but go early as they do sell out of some things

We came here as it was really close to our accommodation in Ubud. It’s obviously very popular with both tourists and locals as it was always busy whenever we walked past or dined in. The best dish we had was the bbq spare rib. The portion was big and it was meaty! It was grilled well with excellent seasonings, and the meat was juicy. It’s not gourmet but it’s hugely satisfying esp for the price. The bbq chicken we had was equally good. Service was a bit lacklustre but was efficient. A word of warning, come before 9pm or earlier as their bbq items tend to run out by then. I would recommend it for the quality of the bbq meat and excellent price point.
