Nauset Lighthouse is a beautiful and iconic spot on Cape Cod! Originally built in 1877, it’s a must-see for its stunning views and rich history. Tip: Visit in the late afternoon for the best light and fewer crowds.

We drove here around sunset to see the sand dune cliffs and the pink glow of sunset from the ocean side of Cape Cod. We did not tour the lighthouse itself. What a beautiful, wild place! The dunes are like cliffs here...very steep.

Nauset Lighthouse is an iconic landmark that captures the essence of Cape Cod’s beauty. The lighthouse itself is stunning, with its classic red and white stripes standing proudly against the backdrop of the Atlantic Ocean. The surrounding area is perfect for a peaceful walk, with scenic views that are breathtaking, especially at sunrise or sunset. Came up to view the lighthouse and highly reccommend trying to be here when the lighthouse is open for tours. We also took time to enjoy the beach and seals playing. We were able to get a permit as well for a beach fire and had a great time with the family.

We went here Sunday about 6. We waited for about 5-10 minutes for a group to come down and then went up. It’s pretty cool to go up inside to the top of an old lighthouse. My granddaughters who are 2 and 4 and 5 really liked it. I pushed my daughter in her wheelchair up to the stairs but it was pretty difficult due to the loose sand. Then I gave her a piggy back ride up the stairs. It’s definitely not a wheelchair friendly place. The tour guides were super and very friendly and knowledgeable. For a donation you get a cool sticker. So go and check it out and donate.

Do not follow Google maps. Don't turn left at unpaved road. Continue straight toward coast and large parking lot for beach. Cool lighthouse that's on Cape Cod potato chips and Massachusetts license plates. Beach access, bathrooms and changing rooms.

We visited in July and the parking lot was crowded. You have to wait at the entry gate until another car leaves. We headed to see the lighthouse first. It was fun seeing it since we are huge fans of Cape Cod chips. We then went back to our vehicle to get our beach gear. The walk down to the beach is cute and fun. The beach itself wasn’t bad. We come from FL with amazing beaches but this was more northeast beach vibes. We headed north away from the crowds and it was nice. We saw sea lions, crabs and seagulls which made the experience even better. A fun stop for us on our drive.

The nearby beach is good but the lighthouse is not as spectacular it shows in the pics. The google map will ask you to divert left through a bad road with NO OUTLET notice. Do not follow that sign. Go straight instead. You will get the beach parking lot. We saw a lot of seals near the shore. The beach was not that flat to enjoy. Also, there was shark warning. I would suggest not to go in water , specially after coast-guards go off after 5 pm. Oh. Dint mention any on lighthouse, Nothing special on that though. So, you also, just ignore.
