Nauset Rental

We are frequent vacationers to the Eastham area of the Cape. We always look for a home that is modern, has a great yard and outdoor space, grill, and can accommodate two families with a large dog. Lighthouse Landing fit the bill! Upon arrival, we had trouble checking in with the code. After a quick call to Nauset Rental, they were able to get us in immediately! The house was very spacious. We loved the downstairs living room for all our kids (age range 9-12) to have their own space. The recent reno looks fabulous and there is so much space and storage in this home. The beds are so comfortable! All the bathrooms were great for us all to immediately shower after the beach. Due to the insane amount of mosquitos like we have never seen in our lives this summer (2025), we were not able to use the deck, outdoor shower, or yard. We had to buy mosquito fog out to help us with packing and unpacking the cars. We often prepare meals at the house and found the kitchen accommodated all our cooking needs. It was also great to have laundry right on the main floor- made washing beach towels etc., so easy. We travel with our large dog and he also loved the space. Best of all the home did not smell like a dog. (Just wish he could have enjoyed the yard!) Please add a vacation journal to the home. We all love reading about others stay at the rental and where they like to go explore, beach, and eat. Thank you, and happy vacationing!

We spent the most beautiful, peaceful week at the Modern Bay house in Truro. The house was impeccable and the location could not have been better, with water views overlooking Fisher Beach, just a few steps away along a private boardwalk. Perfect.

Beautiful property directly situated on the cove. Conveniently located in Eastham with easy access to beaches, restaurants, and other shopping. The Foremast cottage was exactly as pictured. Gorgeous view through floor to ceiling windows overlooking water. My dog loved the generous enclosed wrap around porch that allowed him to enjoy fresh air, sunshine and nature throughout the day while I kept a close eye on him. Hosts were very gracious and dedicated to ensuring that my dog and I enjoyed our stay. Communication throughout the booking and checking in/out process was timely and accurate.

Let me get the not-so-good out of the way. I didn't like that Nauset Rental doesn't accept payment via digital means. We found the property through a major house-sharing app. The price was significantly higher going through there. So, we decided to book directly through Nauset. You have to send a check or money order to pay for your rental, by going through them. That means, trusting the US Postal Service to handle thousands of dollars. There are cost effective ways to transfer $$ that don't go through credit cards. There has to be a better way to accept payment. One other thing. It's small, but the kitchen sink didn't have a garbage disposal. Need to empty out food contents into the trash, before washing/rinsing out dishes. As for the rental, it was as described in the photos. The four of us arrived to a clean and well-maintained "Hydrangea House" in West Harwich. The house was in a quiet neighborhood, not too far from the beaches and other attractions. We used the outdoor seating area and grill. The central A/C worked flawlessly. The owners care about this property. The summer wildlife consisted of a rabbit and robin, along w/ an osprey. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this house. Will consider Nauset Rental in our future plans for stays on the Cape.

Great to work with, listing was accurate. Location was close to all amenities. The pond down the road and kayaks in the shed, was an added bonus. My kids loved the game room! Great trip!

Booking a vacation home with Nauset Rental was seemless. Not only was the dog friendly home we rented spectacular, but the communication with Nauset Rental was excellent. It was so nice to have all the information we needed about our rental home in one spot (a link with all info) Nauset Rental responded quickly to answer any questions we had. Our dog loved hanging out on the deck and it was so nice to know he was safely fenced in! Hope to do it again next summer!

Heron House in Eastham is a beautiful rental. It is a loved family home with a chefs kitchen and the best view one could ask for. I was hoping for a bay or ocean view plus a place to take my pets and this beautiful home fit the bill. You need just take a seat on the deck and watch the rare and unusual birdlife. Location is perfect and the dogs were delighted! That is an Osprey in one of the pictures!!

The layout of this home is perfect for families, providing an amazing balance of nooks and crannies for quiet reading and resting while blending beautifully appointed common areas for family dining and board games. The design and decor of this home is so unique, and the finishes have been chosen perfectly. The home includes roof top deck for lounging and scenery as well an additional deck for outside cooking and dining. This waterfront location on Great River provides spectacular views, well appointed private boat dock, and water access to the river via kayak or private boat. Traveling along Great River to quiet beaches as well as Martha’s Vineyard and open ocean via our own boat was fabulous for our family. Location is perfectly situated between Mashpee Commons and Falmouth for dining, shopping, and entertainment.
