Nautilus Restaurant

With the roads being fixed its quite a long drive from mombasa longer than it normally takes , the setting is very simple but with an amazing view . Ordered the baked oysters which was a steal for 24 oysters very well cooked . For mains was a pasta and fish dish both dishes were very well cooked . Prices are quite reasonable for the great quality of food . All in all great place for a weekend afternoon

Nautilus was very good! Had lunch here with some colleagues. For a starter we had a platter of grilled oysters. These were really good, soft, tasty and buttery. Mains, we had three different kinds of prawns. Sauces were all good. Prawns were huge in size, with a great bite. So many accompaniments, and all of them so tasty 😋🤤! The personell was also very kind. And the ambience, superb!

Love the food. How they serve it could be improved on though. We had one small plate of potatoes to be shared by 4 people. It would be easier to serve everyone individually. But if you are looking for a sea food experience in Kilifi... visit Nautilus please.

Reservation process was quick, host was very accommodating. The restaurant itself is simply charming, the portions are generous, the waiters very attentive, the host is incredibly sweet and personable. Checking on everyone.

The restaurant looks nice, a bit dark, you might call it romantic. Staff is nice and accomodating. It is ofcourse a risk going to seafood restaurant depending on fresh catch if the food of choice is available. Howe ver, not having any shrimps or prawns available is a bit dissappointing. We ended up with pasta with shrimps and crab meat for the kids, which was the only available shrimp option. Main courses for two adults were meat dishes due to lack of seafood options. Taste of the gravy as ok, but the meat was rather plain, what to expect from a restaurant next to the sea. Just as side remark, there was no running water in the toilet and the bucket to be used as backup was empty. It might well be the policy to fill you own bucket in the sea.

I am very particular about water. The restaurant did not have running water in the wash rooms, they were fithy. I wonder how they did their cooking? Also the place needs to redecorate. We were group of 12. The oysters were fresh and we all enjoyed. We had ordered a variety of food. The fish with cashews was not at all tasty. The restaurant is well known for its sea food and the rest of the group was satisfied . Also they did not have any sodas to serve.
