Fantastic place! And very well organized! The hiking path took me an hour walk from the parking. Just before the very entrance to both pools you find changing cabins, toilets, drinkable water to refill the bottle - very convenient. Between 10:00-11:00 there is cliff jumping with guides who make sure it’s as safe as possible. The entrance fee is $10 and totally worth it!

Don’t be fooled by the “6km” walk. It’s a ploy to get you to use their services. You actually drive to the parking which takes away 2/3 kms and It’s actually a 3km walk there and 3km walk back, totally doable and fairly easy. I would have gone even earlier than I did, we got there at 8:30 and walked for about an hour and were met with huge groups of people, so if you can get there for 7am and start early, absolutely do it. The experience itself is surreal. The waterfall and swim are absolutely worth it! The rocks are very slippery and I took a nasty fall so be careful, otherwise.. I would say it’s worth it

Amazing waterfall, we took the Don Lulos entrance where you can park your car and do the private trail for 10$/p (you have to buy tickets at front desk directly). The trail is for everyone, some up and downs but overall one way takes between an hour to an hour and half to get to the waterfall. We saw monkeys, toucans and snakes on our way up and you can enjoy the nature all the way down with the river on your right. Really recommend as it worth it. Little tip: Come early to avoid crowd and enjoy the waterfall being alone

Very clean and nice place. Easy walk but plan some water for the heat. Walk is 2.5km one way and can be muddy and slippery when it's been raining for a few days. Water is refreshing but not cold. You can jump from different heights when there are groups coming and they set up the ropes. If you don't like walking, there are options like horseback riding or a truck that will take you there.

We visited Nauyaca Waterfalls on December 31, 2024, wrapping up our amazing week in Costa Rica. Despite one of our friends battling a cold, she joined us and didn’t let it dampen the experience. The hike was easy and absolutely beautiful, with lush plantations and wildlife sightings like monkeys, scarlet macaws, peacocks, and butterflies. The waterfalls themselves were stunning but quite crowded—an early morning visit might have offered a more serene experience.

We bought tickets to ride the trailer, and it was worth it. Don’t think my kids would have been able to do the hike back and forth. The falls were incredible. Do bring waterproof shoes with good grip, as the rocks are incredibly slippery. I slipped and feel a few times…thankfully no major injuries. The falls and the cool water totally make up for it though!

Beautiful waterfalls. Entrance is USD 10 pp plus USD 5 for parking. The trail is easy/medium and follows a dirt road for around 4 kilometers. The only difficulty is the jungle humidity :) but the dip in the waterfall at the end makes the pain go away instantly. Last entrance at around 2 pm as the waterfalls close at 3:30 pm.

The Nauyaca Waterfalls are amazing – two tiers of this gorgeous turquoise water crashing into a pool. After that sweaty, steamy hike, jumping into that cool water was pure heaven. The path itself was a sight to behold, a vibrant red from the clay soil underfoot, the rich color contrasting starkly with the lush green jungle surrounding us.
