Naval Bagels

It’s always so packed, especially during breakfast, and for good reason!! The bagels are so good and there are so many different options! It’s quick and its reasonably priced.

Naval Bagels is my favorite bagel shop in Maryland. They make an incredible everything bagel. I’ve been here more times than I could ever count, and I’ve enjoyed every experience. I genuinely rave about this place to people, because it’s that good. My order is an everything bagel, double toasted, with garlic and parsley cream cheese. Hear me out, I know it sounds interesting, but it’s great. They also have good coffee. It can get busy, but they are very fast and have a good system going. While I wait I always like to see what they write on the white board each day. It’s a comfort place, everytime I leave I am already looking forward to my next visit.

We stopped into Naval Bagels on a suggestion before seeing the ECU Pirates take on the Navy Midshipmen for a noon time game. Knowing we would be in town early we wanted to grab something semi quick and tasty that wouldn't break the bank. Naval Bagels hit on all of those fronts. My son got a Bacon, Egg, and Cheese on a rainbow bagel and I got "The Bayhawk" which was also a bacon egg and cheese but add sausage and extra cheese and I got mine on an Egg Everything bagel. I was heavily skeptical getting a breakfast sandwich on a bagel in Maryland. Not to sound snobby on the topic but being from Brooklyn, and also eating a great deal of breakfast sandwiches often in North New Jersey, I know good bagels. Luckily, I was pleasantly surprised. Would I say this bagel would stand up to any from NYC or North NJ? No, not at all. However, it far surpassed my expectations of a bagel in Annapolis, so that was a great start. Nice fluffy scrambled eggs with some bacon and sausage couldn't hurt the cause either. Add in the touch of them carrying egg everything bagels (my favorite) and it lined things up quite nicely. This place was jamming super busy but the people working the counter were on top of everything very well. They were very friendly and worked with a quick demeanor that didn't make you feel rushed but also didn't make you feel like it was taking forever. Cost was exactly what you'd expect for these (I believe mine was 7 and change) and they also carried Mr. Brown's soda which is a huge deal to me as well. We will definitely stop back in here if we are in the area again (unless we hit Chick and Pete's next time which was another suggestion). Naval Bagels - Didn't Suck!

Bagels were great, breakfast sandwich was really good except it was very hurried. Meat n cheese did not cover sandwich evenly and the egg was very thin. Still really good, just didn't reach that. Excellent expectation I had heard of. House cream cheese was not good. It has a mix of lots of stuff, but really could have been great if they didn't add lemon. Whoever thought lemon goes with capers was wrong, sorry.

Naval Bagels in Annapolis is a true gem for bagel enthusiasts! Stopped here last week while visiting Annapolis and loved it. So many options to chose from makes for some difficult decisions. I opted for the Southerner on a super jalapeño bagel and it was awesome. Also got a bagel with Old Bay cream cheese (when in Rome). Just all around great food with quick service at a fair price. Check NB out if you can, highly recommended! M

In the area looking for a quick bite to eat on a holiday weekend. This place was packed but ran very efficiently. We got our bagels quickly which were yummy and just what we needed on the go!

Such a great cute bagel shop! It had a Friendly and positive atmosphere. I loved the dry erase board with fun questions and cute facts. The bagels smelled wonderful and tasted even better! Naval Bagels was a great experience for a wet and rainy Sunday morning! Thanks 😊

Got breakfast here one morning while in town. Bagels all kinds of ways, and this place is busy. It was packed the morning of our pass through. Walk up counter service with multiple lines going, in a minimalist metal front interior, with limited seating. Most take it to go. The menu boards are overhead. The Southern, scrambled egg with sausage and cheese on a jalepeno bagel, with a cup of coffee was my choice. From the time of ordering to receiving our bagels was less than ten minutes. This place hops and the line moves fast. The bagel was good and the coffee strong, both worked for me. 4 Stars a solid choice for breakfast, thats been around forever. 01110

Naval Bagels is hands down one of my favorite breakfast stops in Annapolis. From the moment you walk in, the staff makes you feel welcome with their friendly, fast, and genuinely helpful service. Even during the morning rush, they keep things moving smoothly without ever making you feel rushed--just good energy all around. Now let's talk about the standout: the S'mores Bagel. It's not just a novelty item--it's incredible. Perfectly toasted with a gooey mix of marshmallow and chocolate, it tastes like a campfire treat turned breakfast masterpiece. It's indulgent without being over the top, and it's something I'd go out of my way to get again. If you're in the area and love a great bagel (or just want to try something fun and different), Naval Bagels is the place. Great food, even better service--can't recommend it enough.

Stopped for breakfast at Naval Bagels before our visit to the naval academy. Delicious breakfast sandwiches and a diverse array of coffees. Service was quick and friendly. The restaurant has plenty of space to sit and enjoy their delicious bagels. I definitely would recommend!

The bagels here are swoon-worthy. They're huge, super fresh with a crusty outside and chewy inside. Service was friendly & fast. The dining area & restrooms were very clean. Highly recommend.

Get the Super Jalapeño bagel. Toasted. Egg & Cheese. Add DELI Ham. It's the best breakfast sandwich in town. Something about that bagel (Super Jalapeno) makes it a chewier NY style than all others offered. I don't know what they do different. In any case. All the food is good. The coffee is great. The prices are fair. Give it a try!! I think the egg breakfast sandwiches are the best. The lunch sandwiches often seem smaller than I'd want for the price, but maybe I'm ordering wrong. They have had "Birria" on special lately, which is great.

Great spot for a quick breakfast or lunch in Annapolis! I got their power sandwich and added turkey on a plain bagel. Everything tasted really fresh! Service was very quick - in and out within 10 minutes for pick up (even on game day).

This place is iconic in Annapolis. Just Across from Navy stadium. Delicious airy NY style bagels The northerner is delicious. Egg, bacon onion peppers & American cheese. With a smear of veggie cream cheese.. try it..:))) Or have a 9 multi grain everything bagel w/cream cheese. My two favorites.

I was in the area for an appointment and had some time to spare, needed to get something quick to eat, and looked up a place that wasn't too far from where I was, and this spot came up; it was literally around the corner! I arrived an hour before they were to close and wasn't quite sure as to what to get but my eye gravitated towards the "" power bagel sandwich it is made with cream cheese, mumster cheese, micro greens, and tomatoes. You are able to choose, which ever bagel you want , toasted or un toasted drinks our self serve while you wait and it didn't take long needless to say, the sandwich was quite huge and worth the price. If you are in this area, I highly suggest to come here for a quick bite. It wasn't crowded when I arrive, but then again it was an hour before they were to close.

Wanted to get a condolence tray for a friend. I arrived just before noon-people waiting, people eating - it was crowded. The staff was very friendly. When it was my turn to order and I said what I wanted, the manager personally prepared my selections and put them in containers to take out. The recipients were very happy with their meal. I will definitely go there again.

Very busy restaurant. Recommend calling your order in before showing up. It's becoming an Annapolis staple.

Had the eggs and cheddar cheese bagel. It was really good. Service was good and fast. Would highly recommend.

I pre-ordered a dozen breakfast sandwiches and a dozen bagels with cream cheese for commissioning day. We picked our order up at the scheduled time and everything was ready to enjoy for a parking lot tail gate before the gates opened. Sandwiches were hot and delicious. It was a smooth pick-up, I would highly recommend for commissioning day to make life simpler, as well as any other day!

Knowing your order in advance, and then calling in your order for pick up is the best way to experience Naval bagels. We had a short weekend in Annapolis and picked these up. On our way out of town. These bagels were delicious and saved our day!

Bagels are excellent, large, fresh, soft, and chewy. The staff are polite. Great breakfast and lunch sandwiches, nice assortment of cheeses. My morning go-to sandwich is the shroom. Egg, mushrooms and Munster cheese on an everything bagel. The iced tea is strong just the way I like it. Plenty of seating, low background noise, self-service coffee area with all the extras. You can call ahead then grab and go, perfect way to start a busy workday.

Their bagels are GREAT! But in the past few months they have gotten my order wrong more than they got it right. Frustrating

Good service. I was helped as soon as I walked in. I explained it was my first time and they explained exactly how to order and such. You can pick any item on the menu and put it on whichever bagel you'd like. They have an array of juices, spreads, yogurt & a condiment station, Self Serve Drink area. Mobility accessible seating. The ambiance is giving "ma & pop" deli. But with a twist because you can see the people cooking in the back and it's a pretty large seating space. I would definitely come back here!

Found this place while waiting for a Family member having a medical procedure in Annapolis. It was originally for coffee and then I saw the menu. Decided to get breakfast also and got a Southerner (Egg, Bacon and Cheese) on a sesame seed bagel. Simple, fresh and made to order. It was delicious. I got a chocolate croissant for my Family member and they loved it. Coffee was self serve and they even had Almond Milk (along with milk, and half and half). Reasonably priced and great food and coffee. I'll return when I come back for a follow-up medical visit. Staff was friendly and professional. The place was crowded but orders appeared to be done quickly... Highly recommend this place for breakfast and coffee.

Our family loves bagels. It's been years since I've picked some up from Naval Bagels, only because the location was not convenient to us. When we found out they were putting one right down the street in Edgewater, we were excited. Went yesterday. The smell when I walked in was so gross, I had to cover my face. We decided to order a half dozen and leave. Not only do they not have great flavors (very basic and boring), when we got home to eat them, they were almost rock hard. We went around 10 am. We love FRESH bagels and at these prices, we expect fresh. Not only that, but I read on the site they have a blog post about vegan & vegetarian options. We were excited, since we are a vegan family (only consume cruelty-free/animal-free foods). I asked the kid at the front desk if you have any vegan sandwich options (Blondie's donuts down the street has a great one!) He didn't even know what vegan meant. So the staff is not trained on vegan (or any dietary needs, most likely). Dairy is also an allergy that all staff need to be aware of. If you had any vegan options besides boring avocado toast, we might try again. But the fact that your bagels were less fresh than the gross ones at Giant is very disappointing. My son couldn't even eat his, as he said it was so hard it hurt his mouth. We ended up throwing away 3 of the 6, which would normally all be eaten by this family of four that same morning. I'd rather drive to SP for Uber bagels. At least they're delicious and have better flavors.

This place is a Hidden gem! My favorite is the Annapalotian!!! The crab and old bay seasoning is sooo yummy. Just enough meat and you can get any bagel to compliment this! The blueberry bagel isn't too strong on flavor although it is fluffy and has the perfect balance of chewy on the outside. I also tried the El Jefe that has steak but nothing takes the place of the Annapalotian. They have Turkey bacon as well for those who want different options of healthier items. I suggest getting there early if you can because the best bagels seem to go so fast. Again none of the bagels that I have tried have been bad in my opinion but it's nice to get what you want. I recommend this place! The bagels are delicious , sandwiches are made to order and always in a reasonable time frame and customer service is a 10!!!

Service was amazing. Received my food maybe 5 minutes after ordering. The bagel was really good. It was nicely toasted and still very swift inside. The contents of the sandwich were just average though and the bacon was on the soggy side.

Con: Second time coming to the Edgewater location. Both times bagel has been super burnt all the way thru. Given how difficult the location is when coming from the opposite side in morning traffic, would be great for the bagels not to be burnt. I'll give it one more shot. Please adjust the temperature on the toaster. Pro: veggie cream cheese is sooo good!

Cute place to stop in for a quick bite! Food came fast despite there being quite a few people there. I go the Northerner (which is a bacon egg and cheese) on the everything bagel and it was delicious!!

I've eaten here for several years and never really had too high of expectations but they've always been kind. The last couple of times I've gone, however, they've consistently completely skimped with the spread. Be it cream cheese or white fish, there has barely been enough to tell that you're not just eating a plain bagel. Idk who it is that works there now that's just in a hurry or what but it's pretty easily fixable. I just wish they knew one or more of their employees was doing this.

Naval Bagels is a cool little shop. I live in the area and go frequently. They have a good system to get your food out quick, but it's not the most intuitive and I've witnessed customer confusion that was not met with the friendliest of staff. Service is hit or miss, as are the bagels. If they are fresh, they are great, but sometimes, despite coming first thing in the morning, the bagel is hard and chewier than a typical fresh bagel. Because of this, I hardly ever get only a bagel, and opt for the avocado delight. The honey mustard soaks into the bagel and softens it up if it's a little stale. I'll continue to go back for the affordable price and location, but if you're only in Annapolis for one day, there are better breakfast/lunch spots out there.

The bagels are okay BUT, got a Cold Brew muffin and NO thanks. Absolutely horrible and they should be ashamed selling some dried out piece of pastry. Could not even swallow the first bite. No quality control?

Put it on a bagel and bite! Fresh wonderful bagels. From simply toasted to an array of breakfast sandwiches and lunch bagel sandwiches there is a lot to choose from. The bagel was soft and chewy and delicious. I had the lox with cream cheese, capers, tomato, lettuce and red onion - toasted well. Bagel of choice was poppy seed. Great way to start the day. $$

Not the biggest fan of this bagel spot mainly because I'm so partial to Jersey and NY bagels so it's hard to find ones that compare. I just ordered a plain bagel toasted with cream cheese and it was alright but nothing special. I do hear good things about the breakfast sandwiches though. Service was great and love the outdoor seating

Enjoyed Lox on an Everything bagel and pastrami on a Salt bagel... both were great! Service friendly and efficient... great local eatery!!! Then chased great bagel sandwiches with their "bakery selection". Appreciated great, healthy bite to eat before heading back to Virginia. Will easily be our "goto" when we're back in Annapolis. Love to support a local spot, but if I have to be SO honest the bagels just are not good for a BAGEL place. Like, if bagels are your thing, then they have to be GOOD. I know at least three places that are NOT bagel places, that make better bagels unfortunately. They are lacking salt, not a good crust on the outside, like white bread on the inside. Sad, but honest :( they at least give enough schmear though!

Great bagels for good prices. Naval bagels embodies your typical bagel joint - always hectic, nearly overwhelming, know your order when it's your turn, but reliably good bagels. Go-to bagel place for my family and I.

oh my God, get air conditioning. We waited 15 minutes for our bagels and we cooked. They were just ok, not worth the wait or heat.

I've been a fan for many years but the last 2 times within the past week I've been surprised. The everything bagel I ordered last week must have had 3x the amount of salt and was terrible. Today I decided I'd try the onion bagel. It definitely was not made today as it had the consistency of at least 1-2 days old. The onions were BURNT. Terrible way to start the year.

They're selling day old bagels at best as if they're made the same day. I arrived shortly after they opened on a Monday morning around 6:30. In a legit bagel shop, at that time an untoasted bagel will melt the butter because it's so fresh. Instead this one was barely chewable. This is the problem with people eating toasted bagels. You can sell them old ones and they won't know. I don't like wasting food, but if you don't sell them all, you can sell them half price the next day to people who don't care because they're going to take them home and toast them or you can save them for the toasted sales.

I've been on the hunt for a good BEC bagel sandwich ever since my all time favorite place closed. Naval Bagels BEC is the closest thing I've had to the sandwich I yearn for. My only suggestion would be a better egg to bacon ratio. The bacon in my sandwich was lackluster. Don't be afraid to salt that thang up either! I'll definitely be coming back again.

The food is good, bagels are fresh and service is quick. What else could you want? Local concern with strong community support. Good for families and everybody in between.

U need to go here.....Happened to by luck looking for Bagel place after 5 yrs in MD transplant from NY to MD,FogettABoutIt they do it right and top 1 in area((my opinion) if u know bagels. Closest u can get to a NY Bagel (it's in prep & NY water combo) for those that know! They on target . Plus top friendly, accommodating professional staff that actually take pride in their skills. MD peeps I been raised for 65 yrs old on NYBagels!!!! I don't take it lightly to right this and hope establishments this!!!!! I'm 30 minutes away but wish they were in Crofton, MD . Great bagels. My favorite are the spinach and the jalapeno bagels. Nothing better than one of those with a scallion smear!

The best Varel. Worth driving 1/2 an hour. No one compares. It's quick the staff is great. The bagels as good as the Fairfax District in LA

Great bagels, terrific cream cheese, and nice people who know the regulars names and orders. Tourists hear about the old bay cream cheese. But this place is solid quality bagels in a spacious community centric space. Love the white board with wisdom, words, tides and navyaphilia. System works, even if a bit confusing. Order, get a playing card, and they call your card to pick it up. Coffee was excellent. Couched between West Annapolis, Downtown and the Naval Academy. If you want a good breakfast, come on over.

This is more or less your generic college town bagel shop. For what it is, it is good. The Naval Academy cadets that wander in are very respectful, polite, and keep to themselves so I feel comfortable bringing family and friends (including small children). If you request cream cheese on a bagel you are going to get a LOT of cream cheese.

Cool atmosphere, food was fresh, friendly service, good local spot! Had the Reuben on a jalapeños bagel and it was very good. My son had the pizza bagel and really enjoyed that as well.

I am not a great bagel fan... But I am now! Ordered the cheese bagel with butter and cream cheese. No skimping here - Tons of butter and cream cheese. The bagel was phenomenal, lighter than expected, crispy edges, and a light cheese flavor. The coffee was bold enough with no bitterness (loved it). The service was fast, very efficient and friendly. I'm going back as often as I can... 10 Star!

Not sure why I even bother to come here. In the two previous trips, along with this trip, the order placed is not what was received. This instance, I asked for two toasted everything bagels with Cream Cheese, one with Tomato. What I received when I returned home was two non toasted everything bagels with cream cheese, no tomato either. It wasn't even busy. Side note: they were out of regular cream cheese so I was offered low fat cream cheese or buy a tub from the refrigerator and put it on myself.

Good bagels, love the cream cheese selection - straight forward service - clean place. Had a great experience this morning at Naval Bagels. There's always a bunch of people in there but I never wait long at all. We grabbed a bagel and then a dozen bagels to go. You can order ahead and just pick up bagels too and it's indicated once you walk in which way to go. The register person was good, straight forward, always explains you to the other end to pay and pick up when called, and you move on. The bagels are always fresh. They were out of chocolate chip (my son was bummed) but I had an everything and it was delicious and my son had a plain which he loves. They are always quick, and fresh. They do have condiments out for coffee and lots of space as they moved all the chairs out of the way. There was sanitizer which is nice. The fridge has cream cheese for grabbing on the go. It continues to be a positive experience even though times are different. We have been coming here over 10 years and will continue to go here.

This by far is the best bagel in town. I know they'll be those naysayers that think that other places might tow the line when it comes to being named the best bagel by me in Annapolis. But consistency in my opinion is the most important factor in determining a good bagel. There are places in the area that import water from New York thinking that that makes their bagels better, but at the end of the day it's the employees that put forth a time and effort to ensure the bagel is cooked correctly and serve to the customer peoples. Not only do they serve quality fresh in a rotating specialty bag of cooked fresh daily, they also have a wide variety of bagel sandwiches that can be made off of the menu or design one on your own. My favorite thing to get is not a bagel it's their unbelievably perfect sweet tea. I could go in and fill a gallon jug full of this stuff and have it drank before I got to the parking lot, it is that good. Be prepared at times to wait in line but I will assure you that the weight is definitely worth it. Everyone that I have taking there from out of town and locally have all said the same thing I was right and it is the best bagel I've had in while. Give them a shot there a Annapolis landmark.

Good bagels, and a nice selection to choose from,,, service is quick and 4 stars because the staff is friendly and nicely social... My only take back is the coffee is generic (like most coffee's are in these types of places). If they were to upgrade that aspect, this would be a well rounded, bagel stop... Recommend..!
