Sweet corn chicken soup tasted chlorine as their water source from corporation was high on chlorine and it was clear they had it right into the cooking pot. The waiter, a senior gentle man was a man of principles. He doesn't want the kids to handle the menu & was stiff with his manners. His body language was not the one expected on an evening dinner gathering. Food lacks taste. Service is not pleasant. This property was once a good place where we used to get flavoursome food. Deteriorated in all aspects.

The North Indian Gem in the Heart of South India! Navratna was, without a doubt, one of the best discoveries of my Kerala trip—an absolute hidden gem. Specializing in North Indian cuisine, the place exceeded all our expectations and left us both amazed and deeply satisfied. On Day 1, we decided to try their Kerala Special Navratna Dum Biryani, and to our surprise, one portion was more than sufficient for two hearty eaters. Despite the rich flavors and generous use of spices, the dish was incredibly light on the stomach, which made the experience all the more enjoyable. The balance of taste and texture was spot on, leaving us impressed. Encouraged by our positive first experience, we returned the next day to try their much-talked-about North Indian delicacies. We ordered the classic Butter Chicken, paired with Kerala Parotta, and it was nothing short of spectacular. The flavors of the butter chicken were so authentic and intense that it felt like we had been instantly transported to North India. The taste was simply extraordinary—no words can do justice to the experience. If you’re ever in Thrissur and craving North Indian cuisine, Navratna is an absolute must-visit. The Butter Chicken is a standout dish that you simply cannot miss!

One of the oldest restaurants in Thrissur. Veg downstairs and no veg upstairs is still maintained. Service is fast and efficient. Food quality also good. Cleanliness is an issue especially under the tables and wash area has urine smell. They can do a good renovation and change all the plates and cutlery. Food options are variety and tasty too

One of the descent restaurants available in Thrissur round. I have visited them couple of times and they are still maintaining the same level as of before. They serve the veg cuisine on the ground floor and non-veg cuisine on the first floor which is a good initiative in my opinion. The ambience, service and food are descent not exceptional. The biggest trouble with them is the parking, as they don’t have a dedicated parking lot. We may need to park it in front of the restaurant on the road and that’s something I hate about them.

It’s like a fake 5 star hotel experience with 100% of the attitude from the staff with none of the quality of content… Extremely poor portions… such a disappointment The interior seems good but is sub par… The restaurant runs on god’s prayers and over pricing… people who have no other option still shouldn’t go here 🤢 Misers on everything even the mayonnaise…

This restaurant is neither North Indian or South Indian. It is just pretending to be North Indian. I tried Navaratna Kuruma which was extremely hot and spicy. North Indian dishes are not that spicy like Kerala cuisine. For authentic Punjabi food better try out restaurants in Kochi like Hoy Punjab/Punjabi Grill. Or if it is not affordable, you can try out some Punjabi Dhabas at Chirangara/Karukutty on Kochi Salem Highway.
