Three friends and I stayed at Navutu Stars Resort for three nights. I want to share a balanced and honest review for anyone considering this property, especially if you are used to more activity-based resort experiences.||What we loved:|The room itself was absolutely gorgeous. It was large, spacious, and very private, with our own stretch of beach. The setting felt intimate and peaceful, and the natural beauty of the surroundings is undeniable.||Things to be aware of:|Navutu Stars is a very small resort, with essentially one central area that functions as the lobby and the dining space for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. During our stay, the menu remained the same each day, which felt limiting over three nights.||The resort is located about a four-hour ferry ride from Port Denarau, with only one arrival and one departure slot per day. This means flights must be booked very carefully around ferry timing. If you experience motion or sea sickness, the ride can be quite uncomfortable, as it is not always smooth.||Fiji overall is extremely expensive, and this was true both at Navutu Stars and during our stay in Nadi. Water is not complimentary with meals and must be purchased each time, typically costing between $5–$10 USD per bottle. While this may seem minor, it adds up quickly over several days.||The resort is very much in nature, so there are plenty of insects, including mosquitoes, spiders, and bugs. This may be unsettling if you’re not accustomed to tropical environments.||Our main takeaway:|This is not the type of resort experience many travelers may be used to if they’ve vacationed in places like the Caribbean. During our stay, there were about 15 guests total, and only one or two organized activities per day, each lasting around 1.5–2 hours. Outside of those, the primary option is to relax. We realized fairly quickly that we personally needed more to do. The pool was also quite small and not very inviting.||That said, we did enjoy spending quality time together and meeting a lovely family at the resort, which added warmth to the experience.||Overall:|Navutu Stars is best suited for travelers seeking deep relaxation, privacy, and a very quiet, slow-paced stay. If you’re looking for variety, multiple dining options, larger pools, or a more active resort experience, this may not be the right fit.
