Our experience at Nazuna was absolutely unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we were deeply moved by the kindness, politeness, and exceptional service of the entire staff. Everything was exactly to our taste the room, the atmosphere, the hotel’s design, and the warm, attentive team. The property is spotless and beautifully maintained, and every detail made our stay feel special. The staff were incredibly considerate and welcoming, creating a peaceful and comfortable environment throughout our visit. A special thank you to Miya at the front desk, who was incredibly sweet, patient, and genuinely kind. She made sure everything was perfect for us and added an extra layer of warmth to our stay. This was truly a one of a kind experience, and there is no doubt that we will return to Nazuna again in the future❤️

I had such a comfortable solo stay here! The welcome drink was very original and refreshing which is a great way to start the stay. The lounge offered plenty of drinks and snacks, which was such a nice touch. The room was spacious and relaxing, with bath salt that made bath time especially enjoyable. The complimentary late-night snack was another highlight: the onigiri portion for one person was surprisingly generous! Breakfast was excellent too, a traditional Japanese-style meal that was both hearty and delicious. Staff were always kind, polite, and helpful, making me feel very well taken care of. Highly recommend this hotel for its comfort, details, and warm hospitality.

This was one of the best hotels we ever stayed at. I was a little nervous to book it at first because it only had a handful of reviews, but I’m so glad I did. I let them know ahead of time that we were celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary and they made sure to make it special for us. Our room (and the whole place really) was so cute, they give that Kyoto vibe, very peaceful. We had a huge bathtub and let me tell you, my husband and I travel quite a bit and to get a good bathtub it’s hard. Usually too small or the hot water won’t even fill up, not the case here. The tub was huge and kept very warm for a long time. Breakfast was delightful. We chose western breakfast and they brought it to our room every day at the time we requested. I highly recommend you get breakfast when you book your stay here. The people working here are extremely nice and helpful. The day we checked out they were kind enough to hold our bags until it was time for our train to Osaka. I will love to come back to Kyoto one day and stay here again!

I stayed with my friend in a room called Ryokuha. As soon as we entered the property, a beautiful traditional Japanese garden welcomed us. It was so peaceful and calming. At check-in, we enjoyed adorable welcome sweets and drinks — it was my first time trying traditional wagashi (Japanese sweets), and they were truly delicious! Our room was on the 3rd floor, and the staff kindly guided us there and explained everything in detail. The bath was incredibly spacious — it seemed large enough for four people — and next to it was a cozy relaxation space where we could chill out and enjoy long bathing time. Living on tatami mats made us feel as if we were experiencing authentic Japanese life, which was a very special experience. For a late-night snack, we ordered complimentary rice balls (onigiri). They were small, round, and absolutely adorable, yet filling at the same time. Breakfast was another highlight — we ordered one Japanese set and one Western set, and at the reserved time, the staff brought them to our room and explained each dish with great care. Both were beautifully presented and incredibly tasty. The staff spoke perfect English, so we never felt any inconvenience during our stay. Our time here passed so quickly, and it was truly one of the best stays we’ve ever had. I would definitely love to come back again!

DO NOT RECOMMEND. We stayed in the 砂流 room, and a cockroach came out from behind the fridge and I had to kill another spider in the toilet. When we called someone about the cockroach, they simply killed it without giving us pesticide or transferring us to another room. We were worried the whole evening about more cockroaches coming out, and it completely ruined what was supposed to be a birthday celebration. In the morning, we reported the matter to the reception again, but they just said it happens from time to time and charged us the full fee for the room (USD 770 / JPY 118,000). There are way more options if I am paying this amount of money and I would not stay here again.

I highly recommend coming to this wonderful hotel for the most authentic traditional japanese experience as well as the in-room onsen. 100% would come back next time. Staffs were so friendly and helpful throughout my stay.

Checked in today. Host was very accommodating. Brand new rooms and great hospitality. Food is amazing and I am ready for a great bath time!
