NB Distillery

Wow ..... what a brilliant experience Alison welcomed us with a wee nip of the main drinks from NB Distillery in our preference tipple ... I ❤️ Rum, and Rita ❤️ Gin, it was so nice that we were accommodated in this distillery visit. So after a warm welcome, we were given a history of how the NB Gin came into existence and some lovely stories of its rise to popularity.... Then we headed up stairs to see the workshop from above and settle into the lounge area to try more nips of the full range of drinks 3 Rum types & 3 Gin types, pretzels, mixers, garnish and ice to chose how want it. So lovely to chat about NB drinks ... history and development. It even helped to drive there and park up overnight saving the costs of one way journey. Safe in the knowledge that there was camera security as well. I do like a nice large square ice cube in my drink, maybe you could add this as it adds a touch of class ... Fabulous tour and tasting yesterday with our lovely and knowledgeable host Karen. We were the only 2 on the tour and it was very much a personal and enjoyable experience. Fascinating to hear all about the manufacturing and distillation processes and the history of the 2 stills Gloria and Gaynor, together with the different botanicals that go into the Gins, Vodka and Rums. The tastings were superb and my wife and I both agreed that the Navy Strength Gin was outstanding. We also sampled one of the Rums and came away with a bottle of their classic NB London Dry Gin (which was selected for QEII’s 90th Birthday celebrations) and bottle of NB Spiced Rum with a couple of bottles of Fever Tree Tonic thrown in. It really was the perfect and most relaxing way to spend the afternoon. Thank you very much Karen, it was lovely to meet you and for your assistance when leaving. You’re an enthusiastic ambassador for NB Distillery and we hope to see you again next time 🍸 🥃 👍

Great experience and tasting at a beautiful place with amazing ladies as our guides. We enjoyed here from good Gin and Good local experience and we highly recommend it to everyone who want to experience a non over tourism tour.

We thoroughly enjoyed sampling the drinks, and the setting is absolutely gorgeous. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the tour to friends and family—such a brilliant experience from start to finish.

NB Distillery is set against the stunning green landscape of North Berwick. The people are delightful, and the distillery itself is a beautiful space. I ordered two bottles to my flat (gin and rum) and was so impressed by the quick shipping! They offer wonderful drink choices for a gift or an upcoming party. Highly recommend for anyone seeking an exceptional experience within North Berwick.

We had a lovely evening hearing about the history of the distillery and tasting the gin and rum products. Our guide, Alison, was knowledgeable, friendly and engaging. The ambiance of the tasting room was relaxed. We felt it was good value and would definitely recommend it.

My wife and I had an absolutely fabulous time on the 'Ginspiration' tour. Our guide was warm and welcoming and full of fun. She contributed greatly to what was a five star experience. She had a deep knowledge of the history of NB Gin and the processes involved in it's creation. The gin (and rum) itself is an absolute pleasure on the pallet. She also had plenty little bits of advice and suggestions for different ways to enjoy the spirits. We couldn't recommend this tour highly enough. What a brilliant way to spend a Saturday evening.

We were here in June for a Gin tasting tour. Its a very chilled out atmosphere in great surroundings, very interesting history to. Great little place, its hidden away but worth the trip!👍

Great wee family run distillery in North Berwick. High quality gins, runs and a great vodka too. It can be a bit difficult to get to without a car but not impossible if you phone a taxi ahead of time to pick you up from the train station or city centre. Will definitely keep an eye on this little East Lothian Gem.
