Nebesa Chalets (Kobarid, Slovenia) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Perched nearly 1,000 meters above the Soča Valley, Nebesa is a quartet of pared-back chalets designed for two. The views stretch from the Julian Alps to the Adriatic, with clouds often sitting below eye level. Built on the site of a former ski hut, the retreat is fully solar-powered and designed to disappear into the hillside. There is no restaurant, but there is wine, a sauna, and a deep quiet that settles in fast. It is the kind of place people come to pause, reset, and stay off the radar a little longer." - Tablet Hotels

We loved our stay at this hotel. The owners were friendly and hospitable. It’s not your typical luxury stay as it is a bit rustic, but the set-up is well suited for the environment. Don’t miss the opportunity for this unforgettable experience.

Absolutely amazing experience! We were excited about nearly everything. I doubt I can add much more than all the other people here, but in short: 1️⃣ The view is breathtaking — it's everywhere: in the breakfast room, in your house, and even from the bed, you can admire the gorgeous mountains. 2️⃣ The FOOD. You know, this is what truly separates the good resorts from the rest. It doesn’t matter if the menu is huge—nope. The key is quality, and here you get the purest local organic food possible. Breakfast was humble but luxurious. You’ll find sweet pastries (2–3 kinds, homemade and absolutely fantastic), local eggs (so you can cook them however you like), fresh warm bread, cheeses, fruit, and vegetables. Truly a gourmet experience! And let’s not forget the wine cellar — an authentic experience, slicing prosciutto right off the leg? Yes, please! Delicious cheeses, salami, wines, and even a digestive liqueur to finish off the tasting. 3️⃣ Wellness center — the cherry on top. As I mentioned, the mountain view is incredible. The spa has a beautiful, spacious room with two large saunas (and a smaller third one in the corridor), offering the chance to enjoy the view right from the sauna or the relaxation zone. Absolutely stunning! In the end, I have to say — everyone was incredibly helpful, kind, and eager to assist with any issue. If I were to suggest improvements, maybe just two things: - The internet connection, especially in the house, was pretty weak, so we spent most of our stay offline. No big deal — it’s the mountains, after all. - The heater was a mystery. We couldn’t figure out how to use it. Thankfully, we had extra blankets and stayed warm, but I’m sure there’s some trick to heating the house that we missed 😄

The view from the chalets is breathtaking, and I genuinely wish I could have spent more time at Nebesa itself. The furniture is simple but in an understated luxury way, and the owners considered so many thoughtful details in the design and amenities. We wouldn't consider staying anywhere else on a return trip to Slovenia.

I felt like home! Incredible kind owners, all very easy going and uncomplicated, nice sauna area and the best view ever. We rented e-bikes for a nice tour around the top of the mountain. I had to work two day from there and there coild not have been a better place for that. WiFi was strong, we had breakfast in our little house and aperitif on the terrace. In the afternoon break I went to the sauna. Thank you for the unforgettable stay!!

Samo & Maja (and Ash!) have captured a slice of heaven with Nebesa. They are such accommodating hosts in the most beautiful spot in the world, the views of the Soca Valley from the chalet are beyond words. The environment they have created is intimate, cozy, and so romantic. The rooms are perfect for staying and relaxing, but why would you when there is so much activity to do in the surrounds! Only a 15 minute drive from the next town, there's always something near by to do. We are so grateful we got to experience such a gorgeous part of the world to wrap up our honeymoon, and we can't wait to come back.

I don’t even know where to start here as everything was superb at this place. Maja made us feel at home right from the beginning. The house are super comfy, the spa very cosy and big and the local food just yummie. You can help yourself to everything and there are even ebikes you can take and explore the area. Maja knows everything about Soca Valley and we would return in a heartbeat as our stay was like being in heaven (Nebesa). Thank you Maja and team.

Nebesa means heaven in Slovenian and this is exactly what we experienced on our recent visit. We loved the whole concept of the four chalets - simple and minimalist but offering every amenity and comfort, healthy food and warm hospitality. The view of the Julia. all’s was breathtaking and the Soca Valley offers a plethora of activities and a rich history. We are so grateful to Maya and Samo for the warmth of their welcome and to Katje and Bojan for having the vision to create such an utterly peaceful environment! Yes, it’s expensive but absolutely worth it!

Very special accomodation with spectacular view and great service! Only 5 chalets fully equipped as a 5-stars hotel, high quality to the smallest details in everything. You feel like at home, can go to the kitchen any time and prepare your breakfast or snack, wander around in the garden and hillside. The owners are unique and fantastic people who are always there to help you regarding programs, restaurants or for a chat about the story of this accomodation. You can rent free of charge e-mountain bikes here and can make bike tours on the beautiful mountains even crossing the border to Italy. Would gladly return any time for relax and an active mountain holiday.
