6 incredible places to behold unusual natural wonders - SilverKris

"These Philippine islands are home to the striking rainbow eucalyptus (Eucalyptus deglupta), a gum tree whose peeling outer bark reveals vivid inner strips of yellow, purple, orange, green and blue; specimens can reach about 75 m tall and 2 m in diameter, making them dramatic, easily spotted natural attractions." - Imogen Rowland

Negros Occidental, particularly Bacolod and Silay, holds a rich history intertwined with Spanish colonial influences, sugarcane plantations, and a vibrant cultural heritage. Silay, often referred to as the “Paris of Negros,” is renowned for its well-preserved ancestral houses, which stand as testaments to the area’s affluent past. On my second visit to this beautiful region, I was struck by the impressive changes and modernization. Silay, with its historical charm, now also boasts modern amenities, offering more shopping destinations and upscale accommodations like the Seda Hotel. This blend of old and new creates a unique atmosphere where history and contemporary comforts coexist. During my stay, I had the pleasure of exploring The Ruins in Talisay, a historical landmark that offers a glimpse into the opulence of Negros’ past. The food tasting experience was a highlight, reflecting the region’s rich culinary heritage, and the family gatherings I attended added a personal touch to the trip, reminding me of the deep-rooted traditions that continue to thrive here. My four-night stay at Seda Hotel was nothing short of delightful, and I was pleased with the level of service and comfort it provided. The modern developments in the area have only enhanced the experience, making Bacolod and Silay an even more attractive destination for visitors. Without a doubt, I look forward to returning for more gastronomic adventures, cultural explorations, and perhaps even catching some local gigs. Bacolod and Silay have a way of captivating the heart, blending history with the vibrancy of the present, making each visit a memorable one. Your reflections on the changes and your positive experiences would surely resonate with anyone interested in visiting Negros Occidental!

Most of the people are friendly and always smiling Car hire, motorbike hire are all available at very reasonable rates especially if you haggle. None. But I have an experience of young women graduating and did their nursing degree from this area of the Philippines, who were in this facility, becoming nurses as is was, with kind and compassionate care.
